This review is from: WD 4TB My Cloud Personal Cloud Storage - Retail
Pros: 4 TB, for 200.00, not a bad deal. Works like it should. Have it on a gigabit network. Have yet to see it hit 100 m/sec transfer speed. Runs at about 50 m/sec. Video streaming is flawless, even advancing the movie. Plays as if it was inside your box, and it will handle 4 streams with no lag. Did not try for more.
Cons: WD's software, may have a back door. The cloud software they ask you to download. Dumped 3 TB worth of videos into the public folder/ with NO internet access, just network. 1 Hour later that folder became password protected, and it took a factory reset of the system only to gain access back to that folder. Works fine without the WD software. Software included with the drive is Linux based. That is good, but also says Windows NT.
Other Thoughts: Shame on you WD. Kind of makes me not want to buy your products any more. And it don't need your cloud software to work. I also did not like having pc anywhere installed on my computer. People should be able to decline that kind of software.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: This thing is just awesome, was running a RPM1050 and getting flutter
sometimes while heavy tasking, you know games. Read the reviews,
and took a shot, I wont be looking back. Buy it if you need the light company to run your rig. Was lucky got it on sale. Come on 1220 watts for a dollar 79, I hoped all over it lol.
Other Thoughts: Not really a con and not worthy of an egg loss, I could of used a couple of extra SATA plugs, got 10 drives and came up 1 missing, but
a SATA on the end of a molex took care of that so no big deal.
Pros: It works. I mean it's a Nvidia card, and that's all I use. Got this to drive a 50 inch tv. Plays movies great, don't use it for gaming, so can't say.
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: Been getting a lot of open boxes from the Egg as of late, when their add does not say it is an open box. Don't know what is up with that.READ FULL REVIEW
