Now does this case blow the air out of the bottom of it? and if so, how many fans should i get for it?

Accepted Answer

The bottom fan is an option that can be added. However, adding more fans would be dependent on what your needs are. In our case, we opted to add another fan to better cool the video card.

Does this case have a front panel that opens? I want to install a internal multi-media reader.

Does this case have space for a disk drive as a first time builder I would expect it would but I'm not sure because I didn't see it on the case in the images for it?

Yes, there are at least 3 trays right behind the door above the fan you see in front. They come with sliding adapters and lock in quite easily. I chose to not install a disk drive, and purchased a USB one for 20 dollars. However there is plenty of space for an optical drive, as well as at least 3 hard drives. The case also comes with sliding adapters and the hard drives slide in quite nicely.

In terms of cord management, I believe the case comes with one SATA cable that is 90 degrees, in other words perpendicular rather than straight out. The 90 degree turn SATA cables seem to fit better in this case as they allow you to run the cables quite easily around the case and into the motherboard. I have 2 TB's installed that are simple, with slots for at least 2 more as I see fit.

Be sure you have a good power supply. The more power the better as long as it's in budget.

Is this case big enough to fit an Asus M5A99FX Pro R2.0 motherboard?

It should be. According to the specs "System Board Compatibility:10" X 12" max size ATX form factor / micro ATX" and your Asus M5A99FX is 9.6" x 12" -so it should fit ok.
Be warned that you won't have much extra room though. About 2" room between the mobo and the optical drive cage. The middle cage is removable to fit longer video cards though.
The bottom of the mobo will fit right up to the PSU at the bottom edge.

can i put a optical drive in this case?

Yes you can i installed a Blueray player that burned and read CD too! I really really like this tower and it is worth the money. It included everything I needed.

Question 6

Is this case compatible with a liquid cooling unit?

Yes it is, but the rear ports are only compatible with a 120mm unit.  You can use a 240mm unit, but you will have to remove the top exhaust fans to have a proper place to mount it.

Does this case come with a front intake and top exhaust filter?

It comes with a front intake fan and a rear exit fan. The front intake fan is the a clear LED fan. the one in the back is a regular black fan. Both are 120mm. the case supports up to 6 120mm fans. 2 on the front, 1 on the bottom, 1 on the back and 2 on the top.
You could easily move the rear fan to the top if that is what you needed. the front would also fit but will be a little more work to reposition.
I would suggest adding an after market fan if you want one at the top. I am currently using 6 fans in mine, I purchased 4 more red LED fans and added them to my case.
On a side note I had to modify (drilled new mounting holes) the fan on the bottom because my PSU was longer than I expected.

Question 8

I heard the h100i doesn't fit properly, what liquid cooling option should I use for this case?

I have this case (which is designed for a top fit duel fan water cooler) but I do not use water cooling. I'm assuming your doing some crazy over clocking if you are water cooling other wise its a waste of money. I have 2 120mm fans installed in the top of this case where the water radiator would go. with the 2 fans I have which are the sickle flow models I have about 1 inch of clearance above and below them. if you heard it doesn't fit try to talk to who ever you heard it from or get pics. Hello, Does anybody know if the Corsair H100i Cooker will fit in this case with out any mods?  I will be installing a ASUS Rampage IV Gene LGA 2011 Intel X79 mobo w/Intel Core i7-3930K Hexa-Core Processor  and want to make sure everything is cool and will fit with out modifying.

Yes it should fit with out mods. this case is designed for a top mount water cooler. PCpartpicker is very reliable for matching parts with compatible parts. sounds like your are building a beast of a machine. fyi I put a Sapphire r9 290 tri-x grapgics card in this case which is just over 12 inches long. but I had to remove the removable drive bays.

Yes it is, I have Sapphire R9 290 in mine now and it measures 12 inches in length, just have to readjust the middle internal drive bay so it will fit
