will it work with iphone 5?

It comes with a USB to micro USB cable. I don't know what IPhone 5 uses as it's power input, but it might not be the micro USB connection. The issue isn't whether it will work with the IPhone, or any other phone (it will work with any), the issue is whether the supplied cable will fit into your IPhone. If not, you probably have a cable that will fit among the paraphernalia that came with your IPhone. The output on the IOGEAR battery is USB. So if you have a cable that is USB to whatever your IPhone uses, then it will work. Hope that makes sense. It is not a complex piece of equipment, it is simply a battery and the only issue is whether you have the proper cable to connect it to your IPhone.

how do you recharge this product? Will it recharge my Samsung Droid Charge model SCH-1510?

It recharges from any phone charger. I charge mine from the USB port of my laptop. When you use it, you turn the cable around, plug the USB end into the powerstation and the phone charger end into your phone. I use it to charge my Samsung Droid phone when I'm hiking, and it charges it up pretty quickly. I am surprisingly please with this thing.
