Hey, yes it is. I'm using the battery right now as we speak. Definitely has a great life span. I hardly have to charge it sometimes even with heavy apps running.

I had initially replace my battery from a different place and was disappointed to find it was not the stock sized battery, not a Samsung battery but a knockoff.  It was less money but I didn't want to use it.  So I bought this one and its def the exact replacement, works excellent.  As far as orig packaging, I cant remember, think it was a plain white box, still its the correct part and worth the few extra dollars
