The Ultimate Ears BOOM 4 is a portable Bluetooth speaker with balanced 360-degree sound, deep bass, and a rechargeable battery rated for up to 15 hours at default volume. It suits listeners who want room-filling music at home or on the go, including by the pool.
Recommended For
- People who bring music to pools, beaches, campsites, or other dusty, wet outdoor spots and want a compact speaker that can float and withstand water and dust exposure.
- Listeners sharing music around a picnic table, campsite, or small gathering who want sound that spreads around the speaker rather than being aimed in one direction.
- People who want a portable speaker for everyday listening, podcasts, or background music and value clear voices and even coverage more than deep bass or room-filling volume.
- Owners of compatible Ultimate Ears speakers who want to link multiple speakers through the app to spread music across a larger outdoor area.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- At a pool or beach, play music from a nearby phone without worrying about splashes or sand; the BOOM 4 is designed to resist water and dust and float if it falls into the water.
- On a camping trip or around a campfire, carry it in a bag and set it among the group; its 360-degree sound helps people hear music from different sides, while its battery can cover several listening sessions between charges.
- At a picnic or backyard hangout, place it where people are sitting and let everyone listen without needing to face one direction; it suits casual background music better than a large, loud party.
- While doing chores around the home or listening to a podcast nearby, move the speaker from room to room and hear vocals clearly from different angles; keep it close by in noisy spaces because it is not especially loud.
- For a gathering that needs sound in more than one spot, use the BOOM app’s PartyUp feature to connect compatible Ultimate Ears speakers; this can spread playback beyond what one compact speaker is suited to cover.
