Camera Tripods and Stands

Photographers want to capture the perfect image every time they pick up a camera. Every picture should be clear and focused, but this may be difficult to do consistently if the camera is held in hand. Instead of thinking only about a photo's subject, photographers must make sure their hands are steady and have the correct angle for the shot. A camera tripod reduces those concerns, so these artists only have to think about what pictures to take.

A tripod is a steady base for a camera that holds the device in a mounted, fixed position. Even the slightest movement on the photographer's part can cause an image to be blurry or out of focus. A camera stand eliminates the need for reshoots by eliminating much of the risk of human error.

There are different tripods available depending on the chosen medium. Photographers mostly deal with still images, so it might be best to buy a stand with a static camera base to focus on one subject during a shot. For videographers who need to follow action while recording, a tripod with an adjustable head allows for easier panning.

You should make sure all your equipment is safe during transport and easy to carry, as well. A bag can protect your new stand and some of your other equipment. Some carrying cases include extra padding and rigid outer shells to protect your camera from any accidents - like falling onto concrete or landing in water. Other bags are designed with a tripod in mind, so you can sling it over your shoulder and still have your hands free to take pictures while on the go.

Whether you're a professional photographer or a hobbyist, it's important to make sure you're capturing an image as the eye sees it.
