The Foscam FI9816P features standard H.264 video compression algorithm to satisfy the transmission of high definition video in narrow bandwidth network. This helps save valuable storage space and broadband bandwidth, while ensuring high image quality. Video can be recorded and saved for free to a microSD card or hard drive. Foscam Cloud service for remote storage is also available (free trial included).

The Foscam FI9816P adopts a high performance media processor, a single SOC chip (built-in ARM+DSP) and a high speed video protocol processor. As a result, it is capable of H.264 video compression, allowing for extremely smooth video transmission with minimal bandwidth consumption. In addition, due to the small file sizes produced by H.264 video compression, it has the ability to save tremendous hard drive space when doing video recording.
