Question 1

I'm looking at a build that doesn't have a dedicated graphics card. Would I be able to add a graphics card and have it be compatible with this board?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can use the intel integrated graphics as long as the CPU you install has onboard integrated GPU.  Later you can use a dedicated graphics card and just go into the bios and shutoff the integrated graphics to optimize operation.  I have had no problems with this motherboard since the installation.  It was easy to setup and very stable.

Does this have built in Bluetooth?

Computer will not post even to access the BIOS when RAM slots A1 or A2 are populated.  Have a fully functional computer when I have 1, 8 GB G.SKILL DDR4 stick in either slots B1 or B2, or if both B1 and B2 are populated.  The BIOS shows that I have 16 GB DDR4 RAM installed if B1 and B2 are populated but of course it is on single-channel.  WHen I try to put any combination of my two sticks of ram in A1 or A2, the computer turns on and fans spin, etc, but I have a black screen and the computer never even gets to the BIOS screen.  Should I RMA it?  I feel like I have a bad A1 and A2 RAM slots.  Any input greatly appreciated.

run memtest 86+, if errors then likely your ram. im assuming the ram is all the same brand from the same set, mix matching can cause timing problems, errors and boot failure.
to be 100% sure its the ram, and not the motherboard you would need another DDR4 motherboard to run memtest 86+ on. also i believe the combo for 2 sticks is A1 + B1.

Does the motherboard come with any SATA cables?

Yes, the motherboard came with 2 sata cables. One had straight plugs on both ends, and the other had one straight and one right angle plug.

Question 5

When mounting this motherboard into a case,  ( the upper-right hand corner and low right-hand corner) holes are these holes used for mounting??  They don't' have the "star" spots around them as the other holes do???  It's a noob question.  First time builder.  Thanks.

I would not try and mount it to the case if it does not have the “star” spots, as long as you have all the screws in the “star” holes you will be fine.

Since there are two M2 Slots, does that mean I can put 2 Optane Sticks in it and they both work?

Idon't think you can. Also, I don't think you need to, it's not necessary. Suggestion - Use m.2 slot 1 for boot drive with a good nvme ssd. Buy a 32 gb optane and put in m.2 #2. Use the optane for the second drive, such as an HDD, for system acceleration.

does a Z370 processor works on it ?

I don't understand the question.  This motherboard HAS a Z370 chipset. It USES any 8th or 9th generation Intel i3, i5, or i7 processor, and is not compatible with earlier processors. Z370 is not a processor.

Can you disable the RBG?

I just didn't plug into the RGB and had no issues. But I do believe it is possible to disable in the configs.

Will this mother board work with Windows 7 professional 64 bit?

There are options for legacy boot mode for windows 7 x64, uefi does not work with windows 7, only on 10 and 8.  This board, has enough options for you run legacy mode for windows 7

Is this board having trouble with >3200 memory sticks? Does anyone have any recommendations on sticks that work?
