The fans are temp controlled and adjust speed according to the card temp. The min cutoff is configurable but the default 38°C I believe.  So the fans generally don't turn on until the card is under load for a while. Keeps the noise level down

The way my card is mounted on my case it's hard to see if the fans are running, but the speed is variable and unless I'm gaming or otherwise hammering the card, they're not audible. So they're either off or spinning slowly.

it was designed for mining where minimal to no inputs were needed.  now they are sitting on them.  This card is great for DVI or dvi-hdmi as well as a second card for crossfire where no connection to the second card is needed

no idea gpuz doesnt say nor is their legible silkscreening on the modules... card does run as a normal non-samsung nitro 8gb gpu though...makes a nice addition to my 4gb version in crossfire

Compared to its sapphire rx 470 4gb version, the DVI-D is stated on the title. A person answering some question here says there is DVI connector. Lastly, Sapphire 11256-57-21G Radeon RX 470 8GB GDDR5 Video Card Brown Box will run like any other RX 470 8GB GPU.

Yes, only the DVI connector.  It is mainly for mining, not PC/gaming use, although if you only need one monitor then you can use it for gaming and typical PC use

Yes, it will work just fine for gaming. It has only one DVI-D port that's it, but you can buy a Rosewill DVI-D to HDMI adapter for approx. $4.00

Hello I own this card and cant seem to figure out what the two switches on the end of the card are for? There are two little black switches that you can move up or down and I am wondering what they are for. Thanks

This card has 4 diff mining bios settings and depending on how the switches are selects a diff bios

What is the main difference between this card and one made for gaming? (Other than one DVI video port)? Is this equivalent to gaming cards?

It was made during the mining craze. The only difference is the video port as proper graphics card have 4 video ports like HDMI, Display port, and DVI while this mining card only one port targeted for non gamers. However, the inside is still a Rx 470 graphics card and powers like the rx 470 amd advertise it to.
