I have a Hyper M.2 x 16 AIC.
Will this drive come with EVERYTHING needed?
Does it come with the PCB/card to plug into the M.2 slot?

Don't bother.   I ordered at launch they didn't send the drive they sent a ?phone screen cleaner?, this site isn't what it used to be.   If you are in it for the SC ship, just wait till other vendors offer the drive.  That  SC offer isn't going anywhere soon.

Is there anyone who is buying the drive for other reasons than for the spaceship? If so please let me know.

What Bizzarro land is this?  I'm looking at the Optane for heavy-duty video editing, and comparing it with a Samsung 960 PRO or EVO.  Who would pay this price tag for an in-game perq?  (I think I'm gonna be sick ...)  If you're salary-to-family-obligations ratio allows that, at least send me your paperweight!

Will this work with the PCI m.2 slot on an Asus X-99A motherboard, or does it require an nvme m.2 slot?

Yes, this will work with your PCIe m.2 slot.  It comes with an adapter to plug into your m.2 slot with a u.2 plug.  You can then connect the u.2 cable into the supplied adapter and you are off to the races.  Since your board supports NVMe and PCIe 3 with an x4 connection there should be no issues. :)

The origal 900p does come with the Raven, not the newer 905.
All of those drives had the offer. 
I own a lot of ships the Raven is still my favorite, nothing like pulling up in that rare ship.

Do these still (now in June 2018) come with the Star Citizen Sabre Raven Code?

If you're only interested in the ship itself, go to the Grey Market on Reddit at r/Star Citizen Trades and buy the ship for much cheaper. 
If you actually want the drive AND the ship, well, I cant comment as I bought mine during the first shipment.

Is this drive faster than the pcie version one?

It is the same at specs. However, 900p U.2 is single digit percent slower than 900p AIC. Check Hardware Info review of 900p and 800p.

Will this work in an MSI GT73VR 7RE laptop?

This one does not fit physically in any laptop.
Most laptop can hold 9.5mm thick drive, while most recent SSDs has 7mm thickness...…... This one has 15mm thickness.

Will this work on a X99 Sabertooth Asus motherboard?

If you have a NVME M.2 Slot it will other than that it will work on a U.2 or get a PCIE device. I am not familiar with the X99 but the 2011 v3  motherboards can but like mine with the NVME M.2 adapter cable you need that M.2 or U.2 which you must buy as a extra from Intel.

Is this a storage drive (SSD) drive w/optane hardware, or a very large Optane memory?  I thought Optane only went as high as 32GB?

This is not an "Optane Memory" product that is used for HDD acceleration. 900p is a stand-alone drive for all modern desktop PCs.

Are there adapters that will allow the use of the U.2 interface with a PCI e 3.0 slot reliably for this?

This is all going to depend on your mother board. To date the only thing that is certified and tested is using with the ASUS Hyper X16 card in an X16 slot with an X299 chipset on a Rampage VI extreme which is very hard to find at the moment.
