do they work with the google home mini?

They sure do. I have a mini and it's about the same as all other similar devices to set up. Download an app to your phone, connect it to Google Home and you can control brightness, on/off and if you get a multi temp model I've found it will respond to some color commands like 'set light to blue' will cool the color temp. That last part was only discovered by accident so I'm not sure of the exact commands or how to get it back to a warm color without using the app lol.
