Can 3ohm speakers work for this?

I own this model, and I have had some minor issues. At this price, I'm happy, it's a pretty good unit at this price point. Make a list of all your questions then call Onkyo, their techs are easy to get through to and are extremely knowledgeable. I have 8 ohms speakers and was advised to use the 6 ohm setting as it only has 4 and 6 ohms settings. I've never heard of a 3 ohm speaker. But the most likely setting would be 4 ohms? Just Google Onkyo America Support, they will not allow me to post their phone number here. Maybe this will work: 8i0i0 2i2i9 1i6i8i7 I'll post more details if you like.
