Can I install this on my Toshiba Satellite C855 S5306?

I'm not sure because I bought this for a Small Form Factor case and not for a laptop. These are designed to go inside laptops, but I couldn't say for sure if it would fit your Toshiba Satellite. My guess is that the drive should fit, but the front bezel may not match or fit. You could usually move your front bezel from your old one (if you are replacing a failed drive) and put it onto the new drive if you are careful and comfortable doing that. Otherwise, you can try going online and checking the specs for your Satellite to see what it is, or remove yours and do a search on the serial number to see if this one is compatible.

will this accept standard sata power and data cables with out the need for adapters?

No it will not. Because this is the slim design used in laptops and some desktop mini cases, it takes the cable for the slim units, not the larger "standard SATA" cables.

I have this drive in my Dell laptop and came stock.  Is there a comparable version but in bluray and what would I need as far as cables?

I would imagine there is a bluray version of this drive but would have to do research to identify a likely candidate.  As far as cables go, there should not be any difference to the one you currently have.  You will also have to update your driver software, usually the vendor will supply a copy or a link to where you can download from.

Nice slim case, easily reached button, commands on screen easy to manipulate, 
If you have the chassis inside the Asus, and the power connection and data cables match, it is a good drive.

will it work to replace my broken dvd rom on my Toshiba satellite 1805-s274?

probably not.  take a good look at the back of it at the connectors. make sure they match. this drive has a mini sata power connector that needs an adapter for standard power supplies to work

Yes this drive will work on the lenovo laptop as long long as your interface matches up look in your device manager and see what interface your CD/DVD drive has IDE or SATA, If it SATA it will work, just transfer the mounting lock bracket off the old drive to the new one.
