Are the optional case fans needed and if so which do you recommend?

The case fans that come with the Snow are sufficient if you are not running SLI or burning a lot of electricity overclocking. I recommend that for quiet sake you replace the rear fan with a Corsair SP120 either the quiet, or the high air flow model depending on your preferences. The addition of an optional 200mm slower fan for the side of the case will compensate for any excess heat from a warm CPU. I added a Corsair H100i, replacing a Hyper 212 plus EVO and after the Hyper was astounded at the quiet and the temperatures. The H100i was a bear to fit, but I am running a Crosshair V MB that takes up a lot of room. Had to offset the mounting just a tad.

i have a liquid cooler i want to mount in this case i just dont know if it will fit where i want it to, is it possible to mount the following cooler in the top fan slot.. if not any advice as to where i should mount it? evga clc 240mm all in one rgb led cpu liquid cooler ( q&a states not to include links)

The top is designed for 2x120mm fans. That cooler will fit in regards to length and width. The only issue you may have is height. There is only 1 3/4 inches between the roof and the top of my MB. To me it looks like the 120mm slots are far enough away from the wall that the limiting factor would be the top of your memory (RAM) mine are 2 1/2" from the roof. They are Gskill vengence though so they are as low profile as you can get (no heatsink) Depending on the thickness of the fans and radiator you may need to mount one of them to the outside of the case to put it on top.
