The SYBA SY-PEX40039 add-on card instantly adds two extra SATA ports to any desktop with an available PCIe slot. It complies with SATA III 6Gbps standard, and supports Native Command Queue (NCQ) to make the most of the latest HDD and SSD. The PCIe 2.0 x1 host interface provides up to 5Gbps bus speed to match the performance of your high speed drive. Plus, this card is bootable, thus you can use it with your main SSD loaded with OS and secondary HDD with massive storage capacity.
Note:

Pros: On windows 10 the drives automatically appear
Cons: Sata cable that came with it did not work
Pros: NONE
Cons: IT HAS BEEN OVER A WEEK AND THE ITEM HAS NOT SHIPPED!
Pros:
Cheapest solution I found to add more SATA drives on the internet.
Plug and Play, but Syba has Win10 drivers on their website regardless.
Works great for the mechanical drive I need it for, unaware how it would affect the speed of a solid state.
Good fitment in my store bought ASUS desktop with a plain old ATX case.
Cons:
The cheap @## cable was D.O.A.!
Seems to add something trivial, like less than 5 seconds to boot up.
Other Thoughts: I didn't think this was going to work at first. I spent about an hour messing around with it, plugging it into all of my drives and it wouldn't read any of them, and would spend the better part of 10 minutes searching before Windows would load up. Tried the Windows 10 driver on the website, nothing. I was about to give up and send it back, but I decided to try a different, known-good cable. Fired right up. Works great. If you're in my boat, and looking for a solution to add a media HDD to your computer, and your mobo only has two SATA ports for your main SSD/HDD and DVD drive, this is probably the cheapest fix that will work that you'll find. Just throw the cable right in the garbage if things don't work immediately.
Pros:
* works out of the box with no drivers needed
* Good speeds for HDD
* Cheap
Cons:
* will not work with any other ASMedia device. If you already have SATA/RAID controller or USB port on motherboard - this will not work
* Cannot be used for SSD - too slow
* Bootable option takes a while to setup and not reliable
Other Thoughts: If you want very basic setup to connect existing HDDs this will work. Buy something else for speed and reliability
Pros:
-Will take your SATA3 drive and unleash its full potential
-Cheap
-Comes with a HH adapter
Cons:
-Short, you might have to get a longer SATA cable to reach your drive
-No RAID support
Other Thoughts: Make sure your motherboard can support PCI-e 2.0. This is crucial if you want to get speeds above 400 MBps. For my setup, the 1x slot was right next to the 16x slot so I had to buy a 1x riser ribbon cable then fashion it to the first expansion slot. Plan ahead!
Pros: Small and cheap, latest Win10 drivers available for Asmedia 106x chip-set from Syba.
Cons:
SATA ports are seen in Win 10 with generic drivers, and Asmedia drivers.
SSD attached to SATA ports on card are not visible form Dell T7500, A16 Bios, Win10 Pro, as a result could not boot Win10 from SSD. Tried to install drivers with repair disk, Win10 repair cant find SSD. Title of post is directly from Syba website.
Going to try Syba SI-PEX40062 which has a Marvell chip-set, and Syba says is boot able.
Other Thoughts: I would recommend this card it works as advertised and is extremely cheap. Just didn't work in my application, and Newegg's description could be more accurate.
Pros:
Plug and play. No drivers for W7. I assume the same for W10.
Comes with SATA cable and short mounting plate for slim computer installation.
Solid and tight connection ports.
Cons: No real cons really.
Other Thoughts:
It will add 3 seconds to boot time with an on-screen dialog but you can push any button to bypass.
The SATA ports are in-line facing to the computer front, not perpendicular. So when installing, connect the cable(s) first, then install the card, otherwise it's a cumbersome pain to try to get the SATA cables connected to the tight SATA ports if this card in sandwiched in between two cards or a card and the base of the computer.
Otherwise, this is actually a decent card for the price. You will not get maximum speeds that you expect but close enough. My computer has a SATA 2 ports to compare an SSD on. My SSD went from 280MB/s to 400MB/s after the install using CrystalDiskMark.

Pros: Installation was immediately recognized in the Dell Optiplex 760 desktop, Windows 10 Pro
Cons: No complaints (first day of use). Time will tell
Other Thoughts: Will consider similar product with 4 SATA ports.
