Heavy but Spacious

Pros: -Room for a big video card
-Decent cable management space
-Lots of fans, good air-flow
-Side panel gives room for tall heatsink like the Hyper 212 Evo

Cons: -Two tabs have already broken off the top plastic after removing it twice to install fans (down to 4 stars)
-Power Button is easy to accidentally push when using top tray

Other Thoughts: -Zalman's rebate company denied my $10 rebate because it was post-marked ONE day late... not very happy about that. (Down to 3 stars)

Arrived Broken :(

Pros: It looks cool. Seems neat.

Cons: The top cover of the chassis (with the USB ports) arrived with the plastic legs/clips all destroyed.

Other Thoughts: I'm going to try to get Zalman to send me a replacement top. I'll change the review based on their response.

Zalman Z11 Plus PC case, very good with a few caveats.

Pros: Kudos to Zalman - 5 front-panel 5.25" bays in a mid-tower case! Hard to find nowadays.
Great customer support, sent new version part to replace old one.
A lot of case for the money.

Cons: - As of early March 2017 some retailers are still shipping the older version case with 2 pass-through USB 3.0 cables from the front ports (that go out the back of the case and around to the rear mobo USB 3.0 ports) instead of the new version with a single 19-pin connector to the mobo's internal USB 3.0 header.
- A few mechanical things, see comments.

Other Thoughts: Good for builders who need several front bays for various devices. I don't know why so many case manufacturers have decreased the number of bays to one or two or even none - they seem to be giving less and less thought to system builders as time goes on.

Watch out, there's a new version case - retailers are mixing old stock with new, so some buyers may get the new version case while others get one with the old pass-through USB 3.0 cables. I asked Newegg and they said they couldn't distinguish between them while in the cartons. I got the old version, but when notified Zalman Customer Support was very prompt to send a replacement new version USB 3.0 cable.

This case has a small removable flat "tray" at the front of the top panel, but aside from maybe being a place to lay your wallet it doesn't seem to be of much use; the location would have been better served with a hot-swap SATA docking station for 3.5"/2.5" drives. At least this little tray is removable, so you can use the space under it to coil some slack for the wires & connectors that go to the front panel power switch and LED. If you don't leave this slack then you might not be able to disconnect the wires before removing the front panel, in which case you will probably break those wires when you pull the front off (it's a little hard to get off, takes some force and comes loose suddenly - there are numerous comments online about this, and some YouTube videos).

About mounting a mobo: I found that some of the chassis screw-in standoffs seemed to be not quite in the right position because although the I/O panel end fit right, the other end near the power supply had a problem when putting in PCIe cards - the mobo looked OK when mounted but it turned out that when cards were put in the PCI/PCIe slots nearest the power supply, the screw-down holes in the tops of their brackets did not reach the matching holes in the back panel by nearly 1/4 inch. I don't know if the back panel of the PC case was bowed out or if the standoff locations were a little off, but to screw down the PCIe cards it was necessary to bend the tops of their brackets towards the rear panel, otherwise screwing them down would pull the cards partly out of the mobo's PCIe sockets. At first I thought maybe the mounting holes in the mobo itself were off, but when put in a different brand case the PCIe cards fit correctly. It could be that this particular PC case had been distorted at the factory, as I found a corner that had been banged in 1/4 inch before the side panels were put on - this could not have occurred during shipping, as there was no damage to the carton.

Another small annoyance: there is only one bracket for converting the bottom 5.25" bay to hold a 3.5" device, and it does not fit some things - you might be better off buying someone else's 3.5" to 5.25" bay HDD mounting bracket adapter kit.

great product, alot of the issues from earlier reviews have been fixed

Pros: - Easy to take apart for extra fan installation
-Spacious
-Convenient spots for cable ties
- Lots of extra screws for mounting and upgrades
- Issues in the past have been fixed (ex. usb 3.0 external is now internal)
- Amazing air flow and beautiful design

Cons: - Although this con might be specifically for me but I wished the HDD rack was detachable since I only have SSD's I can simply mount to the back or floor of the case. This was an issue for me since my GPU is 299mm while the case fits a 290mm and would've easily fit if the HDD rack was not there so I had to do a bit of trimming on the case

Other Thoughts: I really loved the design of the case and the airflow so I had to get it hoping that maybe my gpu would've fit without any modifications but in the end good buy.

Decent case

Pros: This case has nice lighting, and a decent amount of space inside.
The rear exhaust fan is pretty good quality.

Cons: The stock intake and top mount exhaust fan are absolutely terrible, you will need to replace them for any decent gaming rig. They are relatively loud, and ineffective in their only function, moving air. There is also a piece of metal that prevents a straight line to the screws used to mount your GPU. You have to go from an angle, and this can be really obnoxious whenever you need to remove your GPU.

Other Thoughts: Try another company.

Amazing Case

Pros: The case is amazing, simply put.

I've had this case for something about 2 years now, and I still love this case.

The summer after I bought it I moved and I dropped my computer *really really* tough, on concrete. It fell with a thud and I was convinced that everything in there was completely trashed. I didn't think *anything* survived that drop.

To my shock, everything still worked- and the parts I'm still using from that drop STILL work. It's safe to say this is a really really sturdy case- the only thing damaged by the fall was the case itself. Multiple plastic pieces on it broke off or cracked, and the metal itself took so much of the force that it's very very hard to close this case up.

But everything inside still works perfectly.

The case before this one I was using a really small case that had *horrible* ventilation- my computer was legitimately BSOD'ing from overheating. It was terrible. After I got this case none of that was an issue- the first time I turned it on after moving all my parts over I thought I broke something because it was so quiet.

It's still really quiet- one of the fans (not sure which) buzzes when I first turn on the computer for about 30 minutes then it's whisper quiet the rest of that day- that fan is just loud and needs replacing is all.

As far as space goes, I highly reccomend this to people making their first build, or people who prefer a modest sized build...

Actually, ignore that. I'd recommend the Z12 Plus for that. It's actually the next case I'm getting- I loved this case so much, to replace it, I'm getting the Z12 Plus. Even my friend I told this case about to loves this case. It's just a phenomenal case.

Cons: I can't think of anything specifically "bad" about this case. It can be a bit annoying to clean but that's about it. Mainly because mine is broken, though. I'm not a fan of the side panel though.

Other Thoughts: This is overall a great case that I definitely recommend- and that's all there is to it.

Great case

Pros: Great size, comes with 5 pre-installed fans(2 include LED lights), good looking, includes tray to place an item(flash drive, phone, ect), fixed issue many users had when the usb 3.0 on the front needed to be plugged into the motherboard from outside of the case, very sturdy

Cons: May be too small for bigger builds
