Has win10 been installed on this motherboard for the open box one? If so, which version?

Win 10 Pro 64bit works perfect since day one ....correct ram is a must to get full potential low cas 14 is good at 3200mhz works fine with no crashes.Gotta play in bios to set it up correctly, My pc works 24/7 for almost 2 years with no problems so far hope to work 2-3 years more and I will consider it one of the best I ever owned.

Does it have 2 seperate m.2 slots? i'm planning to put 2x samsung 960 evo m2

Yes it does, one his hidden under the metal shield with some symbol and the other has a stand up attachment that can be used if required. It would be in manual.

Question 3

Is this a quad channel motherboard? It say 8 dimm slots but not how many channels. I would hope that it supports quad channel considering the CPU's do.

The amount of Memory Channels is controlled more by the processor in the newer generation that it why it is not listed, But yes this board supports both Gen 1 and Gen 2 Threadripper Processors and both of those do support Quad Channel. I am currently running four 8GB sticks in quad-channel with a Gen 1 Threadripper.

Question 4

Can this board take G.Skill trident RBG 3600 ram? I've called G.skill and they said it can, when I call Asus they tell me it isn't on their qualified vendors list so no.

I don't see the point in needing to get higher MHz. I go buy the recommended speed from my CPU which is less than 3000mhz. I prefer stability for my 2950x. So to answer your question I wouldn't know. I use the Corsair rgb pro 3000mhz with cas 15. So far zero crashes. The Bluetooth is crap though it keeps dropping.

I suspect with the add-on heatsink kit they say is available it might handle a 2990w. I have yet to see the VRM heatsink upgrade on New Egg`s website. Asus says Newegg will carry it. If your going to do the 2990W route and you have not purchased a motherboard, then do your research. I would be comfortable with the 2950W using this board. Try talking to ASUS tech support and see what they say.

What memory are people running on this over 2667 frequency?

works fine with stock settings. not to impressed with the XMP setting. I have seen users using Samsung B series chips having better overclocking results. If I was really into overclocking, I am sure I could get this memory to perform much better using it`s XMP settings

What mode does the PCIe x16 slots all run in when all are populated?  Plan to populate all slots for a server, but need to make sure there are enough lanes in each slot.

Does this come with Win10 64 already installed? I checked the Asus site and all it says is "operating system windows 10 64bit". It doesn't specify if it's already installed or not.

Do this motherboard have a 3 pin for addreseable RGB?  I want to install a liquid cooler that has the 3 pin and I just want to know if this motherboard supports this?
