Is this compatible with 7th gen processors?

No, any of the Z370 motherboards use a different chipset that are incompatible with the 7th gen. You will need the 8th gen processor like the i7-8700 or i7-8700k (the latter is quite hard to find right now at a decent price).

No it does not.  you need to add an OS.  Windows Drivers are included on a DVD in the box

No, the Z370 series motherboards chipset is different. The board currently only works with 8th  gen intel CPUs.

I know it says it has windows 10 support, but will this board work ok with windows 7?

The short answer is yes. The Asus provided drivers for Windows 7 64 Bit (as of this posting) can be found on their website.

The longer answer is, though Asus is providing drivers for Windows 7 on their product, other product manufactures of equipment you want in your build may not. Windows 7 is dead January 2020 (dead meaning no more Microsoft support, security patches, anything). Many computer manufactures such as Dell and HP are no longer offering Windows 7 drivers for Windows 10 computers in preparation for Win 7 end of life. You will find that slowly over the next year as additional manufactures stop making developments or products available for Windows 7. Note that though windows 7 has similar functionality, it does not have the same out of box capabilities with new technologies like SSD and NVMe hard drives. Yes you can definitely run Windows 7 on your build, but I personally would look to Windows 10 for better features, security, and product compatibility, and run Win 7 as a dual boot option or something similar.

Can this motherboard support a i9 cpu ? Thinking about buying one but i dont wanna break my motherboard! Hope to hear from anyone.

How many  fan headers does this motherboard have?

2 Chassis Fan Headers, 1 CPU Fan Header, 1 CPU OPT Fan Header, 1 AIO Header, 1 M.2 Fan Header, all of which could realistically be used for fan headers. Provided they are PWM fans they can be controlled in the BIOS.

how is the wifi card on this mobo? is it reliable or should i get a separate card?

It comes with an external antena, it's pretty good for regular everyday use but for gaming you would prefer to have an Ethernet connection anyways.

Is there any difficulty in using large graphics cards (1080 TI, etc.) with the large M.2 heat shield? Does it get in the way?

Nope, I'm currently using a Asus 1080Ti Strix OC and M.2 SSD with the heat shield. No interference whatsoever. Just know that if you use that M.2 slot at 2X, sata 5 port is disabled and at 4X the SATA 5 and 6 ports are disabled.
