Is it just am4 coolers compatible with this motherboard or will others work too?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If it has an am4 bracket or adapter though you're golden. A lot of companies will ship you one for free/cheap if you contact them.

Will this motherboard fit in an Asus G11CD?

Accepted Answer

It fits snugly in a Fractal Meshify C, which is a pretty small case. If the Asus is bigger than the Meshify C, you should be totally fine.

Question 3

Can the BIOS on this board be flashed without having a CPU?  I don't have any AMD processors but am going to purchase a Generation 2 AMD CPU.

Yes you can do the bios flashback method.  As long as you have access to another pc and can get the updated bios on a usb stick, you should be fine.  My board did not come with the latest bios, it had the 401/409 cant quite remember.  The latest(non beta) is 509 I think which updates the agesa code as well.  Although I would love to do that, the bios that my board came with had several memory profiles in DOCP mode...upon updating to the latest, they were all gone so I reverted back to the stock bios.

Does this motherboard support RAID 0 with the 2 NVMe M.2 drives?

Yes but technically there is a "bottleneck" of some sort.  Not saying you will notice it but what happens once you raid the nvme drives, as far as I read the PCI-E slot  for your gpu drops to x8.

Yes it has a 9 pin USB header. I use it in my system for an NZXT internal usb hub.

Question 6

Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz C16 CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 ver 4.31 compatible? I referenced Asus official website QVL list and this ram is not listed. Has anyone tired this memory kit on this motherboard and had good success? I know on corsairs website it is listed as primarily an Intel memory kit. Last thing I would like to do is have a system that is unstable and cannot achieve more then 2133mhz ram speed.

Yes, it will work.  I had 32gb at 3200 running fine.
And I just used docp, I did not bother tightening up men setting.

i went on PCPart Picker, and i adding a CUP to this MOBO, says it supports this CPU here: AMD - A10-9700E 3GHz Quad-Core Processor, does it support this CPU? or is PC Part Picker Wrong? the Web Site lots of Pros and Pc Builders use to compare PC parts to see compatibility, that is like a $93 dollar cpu low end, i ask others if it supports a Ryzen 5 1500X they said "NOPE" need least a Ryzen 1700X or higher, so whos right and wrong???

All am4 cpu's should work, however there's not really much point spending 3x the price of a cpu on the motherboard. not much point in putting anything other then a 2700x or better

Question 8

Does this support two Samsung 860 Evo M.2-2280 SSDs? PCPartPicker is telling me that I need one additional M.2 2280-B-M compatible slot to have two of those drives, but the specifications on here seem to indicate that it has two of these slots already? Planning to run a 2700X in this board, if that somehow makes a difference.

Yes you can run 2 NVMEs, but bear in mind that running two will drop your GPU bandwidth to x8 instead of x16.  May not be a big deal but it is something to note nonetheless.

What is the CAS latency and the timing for compatible memory?

The answer to your question is going to depend more on your CPU (memory controller integrated) and quality of the IC's in your memory sticks than the motherboard. Specifications state the board supports up to 3466(OC). Search out memory made with Samsung B Die chips (google search, you'll find quite a few, there's a good post on reddit with a table listing a lot of them). I'm running G.Skill F4-3600C16D-16GTZKW (Samsung B Die) @ rated speed and timings (16-16-16-36 @ 3600). Another CPU's memory controller may not be stable above 3466, it's the "Silicon Lottery". You could also run faster memory at slower speed with tighter timings (I can also run my 3600 at 3200CL14 and just about anything in between)
