Question 1

Newegg specs say 6 sata but scrolling the pic I only see 2, Am I missing them in the sea of black or is 2 all it has?

Look in the last picture (Or the one before the last if you click on the "..." icon for more photos). Right under SATA 1 and SATA 2 are two more black boxes labled SATA3_4 and SATA5_6. Look in the lower left of the board.

All are there and accounted for so don't worry my friend. I am a user of this MB and everything is there are advertised, just hard to see.

Will this have on board wifi?

no, i just use a small USB wireless adapter.. 10$ and works wonderfully.!   wireless adapters these days are amazingly fast.

Does this board support Athlon II X4?  Thanks.  It says just Athlon.

Hi Andrew.  Short answer is YES, the Athlon II x4's are supported.  When you have a question like the one you are asking now, the easiest and quickest way to an answer is to click the warranty info tab and go to the product page at the manufacturer's web site.  They usually have all that stuff listed there.  By the way I have this very board and love it, the usb is amazingly fast.

Does this support the intel core i3?

No. You need a motherboard with an Intel socket. Look up your i3 specs and it will tell you. Like for an i3-5xx you need an LGA 1156. For an i3-21xx you need an LGA 1155. For an i3-32xx you need an LGA-1155. For an i3-4xxx you need an LGA-1150

Will this fit an MSI Radeon R9 280 Graphics Card its a PCI express 3.0.X16?

This motherboard will fit any PCIe x16 graphics card, absolutely! The steel on the top slot makes my GTX 680 (comparable, in size/weight) feel nicely secured. The only clearance issue you have to worry about is your computer case. Make sure the graphics card isn't too long for it or you'll be in for a bad time.

Sorry this took so long I was out of town, but I checked the compatability through the msi website and it says they they will work together.  I am using a Geforce GTX 960 with this Mobo and have had absolutely no problems with them.  Hope this helps.

Are the ram and pci slots  all black like in the picture? Every video I find seems to have them as blue.

Yes, they're all black on my motherboard! A lot of times you'll actually be seeing the MSI 970A-G43, not the -G43 *PLUS*. The G43 Plus looks exactly as it does on the Newegg images.

I was wondering how many case fan headers this mobo has? I am building a computer for a friend and want to make sure everything is compatible (he is spending his money so i want him to buy what he needs nothing more). The case has 3 fans built in, and if this doesn't have 3 case fan headers i will just buy a 1 female 3 pin to 2 male 3 pin fan adapter

it has 2 case fans connectors.. one on each side of the motherboard.. one 3 pin... and one 4 pin connector, but we all know you get  Fan Cable Splitter and walla its done..

I have am buying an AMD processor and would like to know if the processer is compatable. (This is my first gaming PC build) ?

Yes this board is definitely compatible. For the money it works great I trust MSI products and have been using them for a long time. This board is compatible with the FX series processors which I would also recommend specially for gaming.  That is what I bought to go along with this board. It is very easy to set up and has the new interactive BIOS which is fantastic!!! It is very visual and easy to understand and has an overclock button so you wont have to mess with it, if your a newbie.
