Can this be used for gaming?

Sure, technically any hardware can be used for gaming; but, this seems a fairly robust budget board. The most important part of a gaming rig these days is the GPU. You'll want a fair CPU; but, if you aren't streaming or rendering video projects, there is no need to go overboard there either. I can't speak on it's overclocking abilities as I used it for a client's system build.

Does this mobo having onboard LAN mean it can connect to wireless wifi or just hardwired?

Is the M.2 slot SATA attached or PCIe attached?

support Both SATA and PCIe, but it share the SATA interface with SATA1. if the device installed on SATA1 then the M.2 only run PCIE interface.

How many fan header connectors does this have?

It’s only has one fan conector. If you need more get a fan splitter or get a board with more fan connectors on the board.

my psu only has 4 pin for the cpu header will this work fine with only 4?

It probably will work but will not be able to use its full potential. I would recommend power supply upgrade or an adapter. however, an adapter could fry the PSU as it would pull more power thru the cable than was meant to be.

How high of RAM speed can this mobo handle? I've seen other mobos that have a hard time reaching above 2933 MHz and I was wondering if this new chipset fixes that at all.
