Pros: when it works it works good.
Cons: 2 months after owning it the fans started to die. as usual i rma and get another then 3 months later the same exact issue and newegg wont let me refund it because its been 5 months. even asked if they would take it back and credit the amount for a newer model card which was a no go.
Other Thoughts: would no recommend this gpu to anyone nor would i recommend newegg to anyone. kind of sad that i spent nearly 3 grand with them in one day and just get told that there is nothing they can do when the product the sell decides to die. so no longer am i going to purchase here and i figured i would let the community know of their actions and the b.s. you have to deal with to get help.
Pros: speed specs are great 6gb ram excellent...
Cons: Quality control ..Shame on you ASUS.. i haven't posted sooner as I wanted to run product before posting, well time has told its tell first the fans are little to desire as for the first of my two cards fan blades flew off broken as it seems it caught the bezel upon starting my system thanks to Newegg I did not have to deal with ASUS RMA process they crossed ship a card overnight. thank you Newegg.. now here we are several months later and number three fan is dying squeaking and hardly spinning annoying as hell. I do not want to deal with ASUS' customer support for i had to a couple of months ago due to my Motherboard issues. Sad to say ASUS has lost this customer I have ordered replacement fan and willing to pay this repair just not to deal with ASUS RMA. in the meanwhile i will be looking else where for my GTX 1080 upgrade
Other Thoughts: over all the card performed to spec but the design is little to desire and the pulsing lights do not match and can not be control via software to flash together or alternate due to the programming for each card epic FAIL. over all with the ASUS products I have purchased Have been disappointing.. to think I left eVGA for this ASUS...for this Shame on me...
Pros: Excellent card, performs extremely well. Although I noticed that it didn't perform as well as I'd expect in some games. I suspect my 9590 may have been bottlenecking it. Easily overclocked if that's something you're into, but the factory overclock is quite nice.
Cons: My system started locking up while playing games about 40 days after purchase (of course) then it began freezing every thirty minutes in unpredictable intervals. It became unbearable after a while. Decided to RMA the card. ASUS gave me no issues as many people have been reporting. mailed it in, they repaired it for three days, then sent it back, which I am waiting on now. I understand these issues can occur and if the issue is resolved, I'll come back and update my review. When the cards works properly, it's well worth it.
Other Thoughts: As for size, the card is pretty large. it just squeezed in (horizontally) in my CM Storm Stryker full size case. As for the complaints about lighting, the breathing effect is a questionable decision but not really an issue in my opinion. Tempuratures are a bit on the higher end of the spectrum, but this thing is powerful, so don't expect low tempuratures. As with any build, keep good airflow!
Pros: Easily overclocked with the software. The design was sleek and sturdy. The fans are whisper quiet until they're running at full blast, but that is to be expected with 3 fans running at 100%. I have yet to be disappointed by an ASUS GPU.
Cons:
Length may be a problem for some people. I had to shift the card around a lip in the middle of my case, but it sat in fine afterwards. Make sure your case is wide enough inside.
Also the light only pulses. I know others have said about this, but this is annoying considering you cannot control it. I would like to have the ability to change the rate of the pulse, or even make it solid.
Neither of these were enough to remove an egg, but builders should definitely be aware of them.
Other Thoughts:
This GPU is the best I've ever had, and I was not disappointed. I managed to overclock it to over 1400 Mhz easily, and it has never crashed on me to this point. I would recommend this to anyone once it comes down in price.
Build:
CPU: Intel i7 6700k
Cooler: Corsair H100i GTX
RAM: G.Skill Trident Z 2x 8GB @ 3200Mhz
MOBO: Gigabyte Gaming 6 Z170X
SSD: 2x Sandisk Ultra II @ Raid 0
HDD: WD Black 500GB
Case: CM Storm Trooper Black (Love this case)
Pros:
It's insane how quite this thing is and yet how powerful it is.
This is a really nice card for most 4K contemporary gaming.
Cons: It's really big, and it's really heavy. 3 of those fans take up space. Plus the heatsink wraps up and over the back end of the PCB edge. It doesn't conflict in any way in my case. But if you going for a small build, look hard at the specs on this one.
Other Thoughts: I downgraded from 2 GTX 980's to this. So I did take a frame rate drop from that to this gtx980ti. But I gained in stability. And the performance hit wasn't all that noticeable, except for in Assassins Creed Syndicate. To run that game in 4k, you need 980's in sli at a minimum.
Pros:
cool run at 75c full load
overclocking capability
back plate pre installed
run most of the game at ultra setting @ 1440p but need a little tweaking to reach 60-90`s fps
Cons:
white led on the 8x2 pin
strix logo wont stay lit. blinking strix kinda annoying
didnt expect to be almost the same fan noise of the trixx 290x sapphire card under load
Other Thoughts:
this card is the best card i bought so far. im not a pro but i have a very good knowledge how to build pc`s
i was a impress but not totally to this card. it can run most of the game @ 1440p
i use this with asus rog swift ips version and it really run all my games on ultra such as division far cry primal and tomb raider a little disappointing since you have toverclock a little to reach the 60-80`s fps without overclocking you be at 45-60 fps
overkill for 1080p user but not a bad investment due to the fact games demand more power this days.
i only use the asus gpu tweak ii pre overclocked and it rise up to 1450 clock and 7200 memory and this is only the gaming mode on asus gpu tweak ii never tried manually overclocked or increase the voltage since i dont have too for now.
if you`re a little hesitant between the factory overclock version or stock clock version it will be wise to go to the factory overclocked but it also doesnt make a difference since this card is a beast. i mean literally beast physical and performance. it fits on my nzxt phantom 630. i would suggest to check your tower case before you clicked that order button since this card is gigantic.
Pros: None
Cons: Arrived defective. Had it in my pc for 30 seconds and the green artifacts everywhere. Computer locked up and restarted. Tried again and no luck. Plopped my 970 back in, works just fine. Bad card i guess.

Pros: has been a good card no complaints on preformance
Cons: fan has gone out and getting a replacement fan is darn impossible.
