Question 1

Does this have the new Pascal architecture?  Other 1080 cards advertise this directly but I see no indication for this particular 1080 card.  Does anyone know for sure?

GP104 = Pascal, GPU-Z says it's a GP104, yes, it's very much a 1080GTX. It's pretty much a 'cheaper' founders edition. But I was tired of waiting for evga, so I bought it, it works as advertised, and is immensely helpful in VR(Vive)

If i was going to run two of these in SLI what would be a good minimum power supply requirement?

A good minimum would be a PSU rated for 750w. A typical system with two of these cards, an i7, a good bit of memory, and some hard drives will probably have a max continuous TDP of around 550 - 600w. You should look for descriptions of PSUs that say something like 700w continuous at 40*C, or shoot for the 750-850w 'max' range.

Does this card have the same vapor chamber cooler as the founders edition? if not, what kind is it?

I'm not absolutely certain, but I don't think so. If I remember correctly, it uses a blower cooler that draws in air from within the computer system and blows it out  the back. I hope that helps.

Can I SLI this with the FE?

Yes, SLI is chip dependent, not cooler dependent. Any edition of a GTX 1080 (not GTX 1080Ti) can SLI with any other GTX 1080. The only thing you have to keep in mind is that SLI will set both cards to the specs of the worst card. So for example, if you had a 10GB version and an 8GB version, in SLI, you would still only be able to use 8GB, even though one card has more.

Not paying much attention to the heat but overall the 1080's barely make any noise or heat even when playing at 4K.   It seems to easily handle higher resolutions (4K/1440p) without strain.
