I see no mention of SLI on this card, but a slot for one - also know that nVidia disabled SLI on the 3gb version of this card, but this is a 6gb version - so is SLI here or not?

Yes and no. It mostly retains the qualities of a reference card, blower cooling, no factory overclock, etc. But the build quality isnt what I would consider reference. Still good build quality though.

I know this is a weird question but can someone with this card tell me if the gpu will overheat or get hotter if you cover up the opening of where the SLI fingers would be? The reason I need to know this is because I am looking for a blower card that doesn't release much heat back into the case, especially that particular section because of how small my mini itx case is.

I'm my opinion this card isn't ment for a mini itx case. I recommend a mini 980 or mini 970. But if you do use it I would think it would be fine but idk.
