This card is running VERY hot for me.  The case is roomy inside and the CPU is water-cooled.  Not sure what I'm doing wrong here. I'm actually having issues with the card raising the overall temp in the computer and causing the water-cooler fans to go into high gear.  There did not seem to be any settings on the card or in the software to change anything....is there something I'm missing here?

How hot is "VERY hot"? 80 deg C? 90 deg C?

Inside AMD Wattman, change the fan curve to higher RPM at lower temperatures. The default fan curve for mine maxed fans at about 50% RPM.

You can also undervolt Vega easily. Read some guides online.

I have this card. It sits at full load anywhere from 190watts to 260 max. It wont go above 260 on stock settings. Ive tested it on multiple render workloads and game loads. 
Fwi you need a good power supply ideally modular. This card likes to have 2 different 8 pin plugs. It does not like the daisy chain 8pin plugs. It will only do daisy chain on 1000 watt gold or platinum power supplies that have massive rails. Im using the corsair  850w gold. That would be best to have especially if you hooking up alot of other things up as well.

Total power consumption will be up to 500 watts at full load depending on processor and other things hooked up like cooler pump and drives
