Question 1

What is the minimum recommended power supply wattage for this card?

From what I can gather it seems a 550watt power supply would be about the minimum. If you plan to OC it any higher than I would go with a beefier power supply for sure. I myself am using a 600watt.

Also be sure to keep the voltage in mind as well, not just the wattage. Myself and a friend both made the mistake of buying a 600watt power supply which is more than enough in the wattage department but without enough voltage on the 12v rail to support our cards so the computers crashed under load.

I didn't see anything official on this so I am going off of what I have read online and that I can overclock the card even further without issue with my 600watt.

Question 2

Is this the best bang for the bucket in terms of performance?

It is definitely a quality card, but at the price they are going for today you might want to look at the newest gen for bang for the buck. I play Guild Wars 2 @1440p with 50fps in major cities, in CS:GO I stay between 150 and 250fps at the same resolution. It's a great card, for sure.

Question 3

is this card compatible with a FX6300 motherboard?  Can i do crossfire with a r7770? or will there be conflicts?

Any gpu is compatible with any CPU, UNLESS, it says they are not compatible with a amd or Intel CPU. But yes the gpu works with that version of the AMD FX CPU. It cannot crossfire with a r7770 because for crossfire to work properly it needs to either crossfire with another 7970 or any amd gpu that is part of the 7900 family. If it does not start with 79 in the name of the gpu then it won't work.

Question 4

Can this cards support 2 monitors off of one card? n If, yes how do you set that up? other cards offer 2 dvi ports for multi monitor setup.

I actually have mine running 3, you will need a mini display port adapter (make sure it is one that plugs into a usb port as well, provides power for the signal).  I can run battlefield 4 on 3 monitors on high settings and it performs phenomenally.... No issues at all!!

Question 5

Why can't you provide the power requirement (i.e. 32A at 12v) or whatever in the spec. Sure would be helpful. I would think this would eliminate the complaints that must undoubtedly arise because of someone having an under-powered PS when trying to use this video card? Don't feel bad, though. I couldn't find it on the MSI site either. I apologize if some how I overlooked it.

I purchased this card last year, and still have the box it came in.  On the box, the power requirements state: "500W (or greater) power supply with one 150W 8-pin PCI Express power connector and one 75W 6-pin PCI Express power connected recommended".  Given a 12V rail, you're looking at 225W / 12V ~= 18.75A available.  Now depending on how many other peripherals you have connected to that rail, you may need more.  Some PSUs go with a single fat rail with lots of amps, and some go with multiple rails, so pay attention to what you have connected to each.

My guess is that the graphics card manufacturers, and Newegg for that matter, have no idea what else you have in your system, so making that kind of recommendation is beyond scope.  Maybe, not sure.  They do have at least listed that you need 1 8-pin and 1 6-pin connectors for it, which gives you an idea of the power requirements.  Hope this helps.

can it drive 4 to 6 monitors on one computer?

According to the info listed on the AMD site, yes. I personally have not gone for that many screens. Also, if you're a shooter kind of person, I would recommend 5 screens so the crosshairs don't get lost in the bezel of the monitors. :)

Yes, you will still need an active display port connector.  I am using this as a single card setup w/ 3 monitors and still running BF4 at high settings... Great card!
