EVGA iCX Technology is not JUST a Cooler

It is a combination of new PCB, Thermal Modules, LED and Precision XOC.

  • Featuring a total of 11 global patents (pending and granted), iCX is efficiency perfected.
  • 9 Additional Sensors and MCU's embedded on the PCB.
  • Purposefully-directed Airflow Chambers.
  • Newly Designed Die-Cast Baseplate and Backplate.
  • Full Control Using EVGA Precision XOC.
  • EVGA's iCX is the Very Definition of Interactive Cooling.

WHY WAS iCX CREATED?

After the ACX 3.0 cooler was verified to operate within spec on Power and Memory section from independent third party testing, we determined that on an enthusiast graphics card, one thermal sensor is just not enough. On an enthusiast graphics card, equal importance should be given to the Power and Memory, not just focused on GPU. This type of thinking required a drastic change in the way thermal management is performed on a graphics card.

WITH EVGA iCX TECHNOLOGY, A NEW ERA OF PC GAMING IS COMING!

This is the DT version.. not the branded FTW

Pros: The shipping was fast, the card doesnt seem to be DOA, tho I'm waiting on some other parts before I can bench test it properly.

Cons: Just be aware that this version is the DT version, which according to forums is the lesser quality version of the FTW3.. it will likely hit the advertised specs.. what I mean is that this isnt the card to buy if you want to overclock.. as it likely wont perform as well as the top line FTW3... I wish I'd known this before I bought it.. not neweggs fault that I didnt know there where inferior versions of the FTW3 out there.. do your homework...and if it's an overclockers card you want.. by a different version :)

Other Thoughts: Maybe buy the proper version of the FTW3..... Not this one if Its overclockabilty your after if you want to play games on a 2k monitor... this one will be fine tho.

EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 DT

Pros: I purchased New from The Official EVGA page for 549$ shipped tax free and got on 9/07/18.
Overall card has a nice design my best stable overclocked I could get is 2025 on the core and 5850 on the memory with
evga precision xoc. After hours of gaming on destiny 2 at 1440p ultra/high sittings my temps are usually GPU63c Power temp 65c memory temp 71c.

Cons: confusing brand names like "DT" didn't know what that meant until i got the card. thought I was getting a crazy good deal.
FTW acronym stands for more likely to overclock better by EVGA's definition and DT stands for more likely to poorly overclock. what the heck is this doing referenced on same card title.

Other Thoughts: This 1080ti isn't performing any better then my SLI 980ti
perhaps i need another 1080Ti to SLI
ray tracing off for me....

Complete Utter Dissapoinment!

Pros: N/A

Cons: Sacrifice performance for the sake of quality? Nvidia fails!

Other Thoughts: Latest nvidia drivers are installed. This GPU makes games look like garbage! Sad since this is supposed to be an upgrade from my former RX 580. What's the point of speed if quality is sacrificed. Very disappointed!

No downside

Pros: - 3 fan cooler
- well built
- RGB
- boosts to 1911+ on the core clock without touching anything

Cons: Only con I can can think of is it lacks the FTW3 branding on the cooler and caries the DT name in software.

Naming should be changed or explained in the item description.

Other Thoughts: So I was hesitant to purchase this card. I could have gotten a higher clocked MSI for about $20 cheaper BUT the cooler wasn't great. So after reading forum posts with Jacob (I believe) from EVGA explaining what these cards were, I went for it. Jacob described these cards as being FTW3 candidates that fell short during testing of stock clocks as stock voltages. At least this was my understanding. EVERYTHING else about the card is the same. Mine is not a particularly great overclocker (+125 core and +150 mem). But my boost clock gets up to 2025 core and I believe 5600 on mem. That is on par with the other top end 1080ti's as well as the non DT branded FTW3 cards. It is after all a lottery with overclocking performance but this is a great card and at the time of purchase about $150-$200 cheaper than the competition including the FTW3 non DT card.

Amazing card

Pros: I bought this after the price dropped post RTX 2080 announcement. I use it for rendering in DAZ Studio. Amazing performance improvement from 2 980 Ti's.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Newegg is still great, I ordered it Monday, had it Tuesday. Keep up the great work Newegg.

Great Card

Pros: I only have a 1080p monitor, so I cannot enjoy 4k gaming or anything, but consistently this card takes everything I throw at it and gives me 60+ fps in return without breaking a sweat. I run everything at the highest settings I can, and it tops out around 65-68 celsius.

Cons: I didn't know I was buying the DT version, I thought it was the gaming version.

Other Thoughts: If you can get a hold of this card, it's worth the money.

Worked without a hitch

Pros: I put it in two computers. A Pre-built Acer with an ooold I5 and new build from scratch. No problems on either end.

Package was tight and safe inside the box.

Lights are Swag.

Cons: I guess the PC makes a little noise with the fans? Not really a Con to me, but I seen people want a computer that makes no noise what so ever.

Other Thoughts: Make sure you install drivers online. That disc you get is gonna be old Software.

This thing does fantastic and sits at 55 F. Even while playing a couple of what I used to call demanding games. Overall I have no complaints with what I payed for.
