Does this rack work with SuperMicro 2U servers w/ sliding rails installed?

Accepted Answer

The rack is adjustible by virtue of the vertical stays being bolted to the bottom frame where the casters are attached. The two vertical frame parts can be attached to the bottom part closer or farther from each other to accomidate any length of standard hardware. The rack is quite sturdy and easy to maneuver.

Will this support Dell ReadyRails for Dell PowerEdge rackmount servers?

Yes, I installed an R220 and an R330.  The R330 was too long, so I had to move the rear frame back beyond it's designed limit by removing one bolt on each side, but I got it in.

will that be able to hold a Dell Poweredge 2950 with rails? is it deep enough?

Yes, I have a dell r710, r520, and hp dl380 racked with rails no problem, which are all roughly the same size.  You can also adjust the posts on assembly if you prefer them closer or farther apart.

The overall height is 31.6"; I have a place I need to roll it under that has 33" clearance.  So, does this 31.6" include the casters?

Everything you mention in question is perfectly fit this rack.
In mine I install Dell Power Edge server, APC battery, network switch 16 ports, Power switch, KVM switch and 6 additional computers SFF.
Monitor, keyboard and mouse on top level of rack. Still have extra space there for improvement.

Will this mount cisco 3750 switches and cisco 2811 routers?

It's a very solid standard rack. As long as you have the necessary mounting hardware you should be able to mount your networking equip. I have Dell rack servers and much smaller switches mounted.

Hello,

I received this yesterday, and I noticed that the rail holes seem to have a pattern where every few holes, there is a larger one and then skips 2 which instead are smaller, then goes back to larger and then there's 3 that are smaller again.

This in turn doesn't allow me to mount my 1U servers stacked directly on top of each other.  It looks like I have to make the holes just slightly bigger on each end to accommodate the stacking.  Otherwise, I have to separate each server by leaving a 3-hole gap, which wastes space, and makes this case obsolete for me.

Is this a common issue?  It just seems that the holes aren't standard size throughout the rack.

I have this unit and all of the square holes, on which you mount your rails, are the same size. They are also evenly spaced. Not sure about your rack. Pretty sure this rack is made with a punch of some sort...so it seems weird that the mounting holes would be of different size. It's a great rack and very affordable. Fits my Dell rack servers great!
