I am really at a loss here for you have not giving enough info for a answer...if you want to know  if  you can use  the  power  supply  for a emachine  the only  thing you  have to do is make surre  the power supply cables match  what you are hooking up. cd mb ...the wattage will be fine....its the connectors that will cause you  prroblems if  they don't match.

It says it's 550 watts but people are saying 400 watts is what it really is, is this true?

For practical purposes, it truly is only a 400W PSU. The 550W on the box is the maximum peak power it is theoretically capable of, but only for a very short period of time before it would fail. The maximum usable, sustained power is only 400 watts between 3.3, 5 and 12 volts combined. It says so on the specifications label. It shows 3.3 plus 5 volts as 200 watts maximum; but because most modern motherboards and peripherals require mainly 12 volts, the 5 volts rating is all but useless in determining the practical overall limit.

Help Please, I'm new doing this i just build my first pc but i'm having an issue. My pc is shutting off 5-10 minutes after boot Not The Windows Shutting down But just a Black screen and all the fans including the PSU fans stop, does any of you think is the Power Supply?

Could be if the MB has on board video take the video card out and see if ii stays on longer. that will show you if the power supply is big enough or not. The rest should run on that size but the Video cards draw allot! So try that

The power supply will have -5 volt on different plug types. The main 24 pin plug has this voltage and on Molex plugs for older items such as DVD drives runs of 5 volt. In general all white wires are -5 volts

yes you can change both fans in the PS but its not a plug and play you will need to cut wires.

I recently bought this product and thought it would work well but it did not come with a plug for my graphics card. Doesn't all power supplies come with this specific plug? I have to return this one and find something else.

Hi  No!!!  not all power supply's  have e-pci's power. You have to know what power your card using and buy the PSU that has the power connector you need.
When I buy a PSU , I buy one bigger for my next build.  this way you are sure to have the power you need.
