Pros: Bought it in 2009 and it was flawless until 2015. Heard a loud pop one night and it started to smell like burnt plastic. One of the capacitors exploded. It kept running fine with just a burning smell for over a month.
Cons: Not much to complain about for the price.
Other Thoughts: Really good quality to keep running with a blown cap. I miss it every day since i got an off brand cheapo PSU to replace.
Pros: Very nice power supply for six and a half years before it died.
Cons: It was a very nice power supply for the six and a half years.
Other Thoughts: My computer started acting wiered three or 4 weeks ago, would not update from Microsoft, then the screen would not come up after a restart. Today, screen would come on but only a blue screen. Finally, after several reboots, it would not even power on. After diagnosing the problem, it was the power supply.
Pros: Well built, high quality connectors. Reliable. Fits perfectly. Cheap
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: This is the longest lasting power supply that I have ever bought. I have a bunch of Rosewill products and they have all been very reliable. I'm not sure what more can be said about a power supply. They either work or they don't.
Pros: Ran my high end gaming rigs from 2006 to 2010. Ever since I've switched to a new $3k PC, this Rosewill has kept running another gaming PC which demanded 500W minimum. I've almost forgot that I've owned this power supply several times when working on the unit it's in. I'm starting to smell burnt components currently in 2015.
Cons: None! Whatsoever! VERY IMPRESSED and PLEASED with my investment.
Other Thoughts:
I've started as an IT Support Technician and have moved around quite a bit since 2006. Today I manage an enterprise environment at a University. Over the years I have worked on over 50,000 PC's (not including Mac or Linux machines).
Comparing the performance of this power supply to others I have worked with. This one really does make my head scratch because its Rosewill and not Corsair. Really, Rosewill deserves much credit on this ancient beast!
Great work Rosewill, by the way, it is still running.
I am going to set it up for a stress test that will bring it to a breaking point for cherishing it's last moment. :')
Pros: Lasted for 5 years
Cons: Died after 5 years. Really these things should last forever.
Pros: Lots of plugs, way more than I need.
Cons: Not modular.
Other Thoughts: I've had it for four years now, I thought I should get around to writing a review to say it's been running well so far.
Pros: Very nice looking PSU but it died gave me a heart attack when I walked past and I smelled poped caps. Yall know that smell right?
Cons: Died prematurely and dang near gave me a heart attack haha!
Other Thoughts: Probly just got a defective PSU.

Pros: --It worked well outside its warranty for me.
Cons: --Voltage ripple outlined in manual is terrible compared to PSUs today. IIRC, 75mv on the minor rails, 150mv on the 12V. ATX standard is 120mv on the 12V rail and 50mv on the minor rails.
--Rated to 20 C. Seriously!?
Other Thoughts: --Capacitor failure after 7.5 years of service. Half its life in a computer using an old ATi Radeon 4650 (yes, back when AMD didn't own ATi), the other half with a newer AMD R7 265. Same old Athlon X2 CPU in both setups. I'm just glad it didn't kill my other components or start a fire (maybe it wouldn't have, I'm not knowledgeable on this).
--PSU was used in an older NZXT Tempest case. GPU-Z reported temps of 55 C while gaming in StarCraft II but after I replaced it with a much better 80+ Gold PSU (hint: the brand starts with E and ends in A) I saw temps drop to 44 C. It just goes to show the difference in quality between this budget PSU and a new, much more efficient PSU.
--If you're still using this PSU in a gaming computer I'd advise you change it out. It will help your components and give you peace of mind in case of imminent failure.
