I find this question odd because newegg has obviously provided an extra enlarged photo of the back of this device clearly showing 6 ports for 6 data cables and 2 ports for 2 power cables.

How loud are the fans on high?

I read a few reviews that indicated they would be loud. They are loud when on the full setting. Given the nature of where these systems would be placed for my use case, I replaced them with Noctua fans (which are also loud on full settings). However, I was concerned with longevity as well, so I was willing to pay the Noctua premium. On the low setting, you can't really hear them at all (stock or Noctua) over ambient noise.

This isn't a board.  It's a drive bay that holds six 2 1/2 inch SSD's or hard drives and fit's in a standard 5 1/4 inch external drive bay like those used for a full sized optical drive.
