Cons: I would give 5 stars except for the factory cooling fan. It blows (Vernacular pun).

Can not run this processor full bore with the fan that comes from the factory.
If you're using Vray or Mental forget it. This chip needs better cooling than is supplied with the factory box.

Other Thoughts: Currently running ESXi with a VMs for routing, unraid, subsonic, and a couple of other things. Been working great without any hiccups.

Very efficient and low heat, I hate to say it; it's a far better deal over the i7 2600.

For running 2 ghz slower; it runs far faster over a regular i7 2600 and the price is far better deal.

+ Very strong CPU
+This CPU has 8 virtual cores which is quite a bonus because I hadn't been expecting that.
+It's price for performance is among the highest of all CPUs
Cons: -The only con I've run into is that it does not have a built in graphics card. If you're building a gaming PC it's fine, you're getting a graphics card anyway but be sure to have a back up in case your current card ever dies.
Pros: Extremely fast, awesome chip. It does everything I want and then some. I've had this chip running a high intensity analytic system for 7 days straight with no rest and never once slowed down.

I had major overheating issues on the chip without overclocking. Spend the cash on a nice cooling setup. You'll be using this chip for years so an extra $20-$50 on a well made fan is worth it. Or take the plunge into water cooling (pun intended).
Other Thoughts: Buy this chip. Just buy invest in a nice fan.

Pros: Runs cool, hyperthreading for 8 logical cores, video rendering went from 90 minutes to 40 minutes. Runs perfectly in my hackintosh.
