Pros: Corsair is know for its fast reliable ram. And this has been, for the most part. See cons.

Cons: I could never get them to run at 2000 the farthest I could push them was 1600 which is disapointing to me. It seems a lot of people are having that same problem too. It seem like if you advertise that your ram is 2000mhz it should run that out of the box with out having to O.C. Stuff. Also after 3 years I had one of my 4 stick go out on me which sucks but it did take 3 years to die.

Great with a good motherboard

Pros: Fast, reliable, runs at decent temps. Heat sinks underneath large CPU air coolers.

Cons: Expensive, requires good hardware to function properly.

Other Thoughts: Thinking I might try to do some future-proofing toward my next big overhaul, I went ahead and bought two of these sets and put my old RAM in an HTPC build I was putting together a couple of years back. I originally installed this in an older (LGA 775) motherboard and ended up running it at a stable 1333mhz with timing in the 7s. Since it was an older setup, I wasn't that concerned or surprised when I couldn't get it to hit advertised speeds.

After upgrading to the GA-Z87x-OC, I set the BIOS to advertised speeds and timing and all four sticks are running perfectly. Fast, easy, stable, reliable, fits under my cooler, can't really ask for more.

Great Memory, Nice and Fast

Pros: Corsair XMS - need I say more?
Fast, reliable, looks pretty, heat spreader is low profile so it doesn't impede airflow for my aftermarket Cooler Master HyperTX2 heatsink

Cons: I got nothing

Other Thoughts: Not the fastest horse in the race these days, but with faster memory coming out every few months what can you do?
I would recommend this memory to any and everyone!

Do your Research FIRST people...

Pros: Nice dual channel kit, runs good (now, see cons)

Cons: Initially, CPU-z reported the it had defaulted to 1066Mhz with 7-7-7-24 timings, command rate 1t w/ 1.5V. Changed timings to 9-10-9-27 and added 0.150V for a total of 1.65V and it runs at 1866Mhz (need to OC more for the full 2000)

Other Thoughts: Memory is sold as what it's highest successful speed, but 9/10 times you will need to enter BIOS and manually adjust timings and voltage to reach that. Read a lot if you are unfamiliar with OCing before trying anything, it's not my fault if you break anything.

I AM NOT ENCOURAGING ANYONE TO OVERCLOCK; Just saying how I got it to work as advertised. I do not recommend pushing it PAST it's manufacturer recommended limitations.

Letdown

Pros: It at least works. And I haven't heard complaints from the Intel Crowd. Was able to get good timings at low frequencies.

Cons: I have been completely unable to get up to the speeds Corsair claims. With some work I've got it running at 1333, and at much worse timings than were claimed in the specs. So, with some work, about half the performance that I paid for. Disapointing, will be considering trying the mushkins or Crucials, which are cheaper up to the same price, and don't seem to have the problem.

Other Thoughts: I'll be contacting Corsair, and maybe they'll have some magic trick to fix my problem. But it seems people running AMD systems have been having problems with these. Not sure why, but they're supposed to work with it. Unless Corsair has something to help me out, I have to say this has hurt their reputation with me. A little shy of claimed performance is one thing, but I'm way under right now, and I'm not happy.

Edit

Pros: I posted that review that mentioned RAM timings of CL 2, it turns out this was an error in CPU-Z the program I was looking at for timings. The actual timings I have are 7-7-7-20 at 4.1GHz CPU and 1.15Ghz memory.

Don't know what I was thinking, but still this memory feels fast to me even with more reasonable numbers for latency.

Cons: none
