Question 1

I bought these paired with a AM3+ MSI motherboard. The system was really unstable until I underclocked and I am still having some issues with the mouse just stopping at times. What settings should I use?

I have this memory running just fine on an i5-4670K / MSI 1150 z87 system.

Last year I ran into a similar problem with a different set of memory on another computer.  I tried changing system parameters, even putting the memory in an entirely different system...the behavior was the same...an unstable system that would get worse over time.  I tried memory diagnostics, but they never revealed any issues with the memory.

I checked to determine that the memory was compatible with the motherboard(s) and it was.  I ran out of options.  I replaced the memory with some from a different vendor.  No more problems.

I still don't know what was wrong with the memory, all I know is that you might try a different set of memory and see if that fixes the problem.

Question 2

What settings should I use on my MSI main board? This RAM is definitely causing stabilization issues for me. I have had to underclock it to 1600 just to get up and running.

I am using the default settings.  The motherboard recognized the ram and it has been performing flawlessly.  I'm not at the computer, so I can't tell you what the settings are.  I have had similar problems before and had to RMA memory.   Make sure the memory is certified for you motherboard.  Good luck.

can I use this RAM to my H55M S-2-V motherboard?

According to the gigabyte web site (if this is your board)  your board only supports up to 8GB....I'm sorry to say you cant use 16GB on that board.

Compatible with Dell Precision T3610 workstation?

I looked the specs up for the Dell Precision T3610 workstation and the actual memory modules will fit sense they are 240pin but I'm unsure if this memory will work without any issues.

It appears that it is compatible, I utilized Crucials tool for selecting guaranteed memory compatibility.  I believe that the results showed it is compatible memory modules for your board but feel free to rerun it and ensure the correct selections were made.

Hello, just wondering before i buy. I have a gigabyte 970A D3SP Mobo, and I'm not entirely sure where to look to see if this is compatible, Does someone else have this mobo and know if these will work in it? I have two sticks of 4gb corsair vengeance clocked at 1866 in it at the time. Just looking to fill my other two slots.

The ram is compatible with your mobo according to the memory upgrade selector on Crucial's website and it should work, though its not recommended to mix and match different types of ram. You memory controller is going to clock all modules down to the timings on the slowest sticks. Is your Corsair RAM running at 1.5v too?

is this compatable with a dell xps 8700?

Probably will fit...long as the mobo accepts DDR3...which I am sure it does.

The problem however comes with faster ram - majority of the time the Mobo won't clock it up correctly. with crucial you generally need to get into DHCP settings and change CAS latency as well. You're better off to research the ram speed on the board and get more memory at a higher amount - not a higher frequency.
