Works with ASUS Aura?

I have the Gigabyte X99 SLI Phoenix board and the RAM works perfectly. I think you're referring to the lighting effects and if they sync up though. There will likely not be integration with Asus and Gigabyte, etc. However, they will be able to be individually controlled with the G.Skill software when it launches in February. Currently they default to an RGB rainbow effect until said software is released.

So my games crash and im thinking its because of my current memory. It is usually at 90% is ramsticks the solution to upgrading and getting more running memory?

If you have 8gb Ram, I would take advantage and upgrade to 16 or even 32 gb memory. Also check your hard drive space. If you are running less than 25 gb. It may be time to upgrade that as well. If your graphics card is more than 5 years old, it may be time to upgrade if you plan to play todays aaa games. Also look on like for hardware tests to test your graphics card, graphics memory, memory and cpu. And also the motherboard as well to make sure there are no faults.

Is this for AMD or Intel CPUs?

Yes... It will perform well on either platform being rated at 3200Mhz. I've used the same RAM in both my 2700x builds and 8th Gen Intel builds. I also have a buddy that uses it with his overclocked intel 7th Series Intel build.

So just to confirm this would be compatible to the asus maximus IX formula right? Also how well does this keep up with aura sync?

Yes it should be compatible. Be aware however that the Aura software may not be updated to work with it just yet. The synchronization is perfect. They move together and the colors are accurate. Absolutely love this product with my ASUS motherboard.

Will two kits work in a dual channel setup (buy one now and buy another later rather than buying a 32gb kit)?

As long as you have at least 2 sticks of memory installed you will get the 2 channel performance. Most consider 2x8gB to be plenty adequate with todays software & games, but I did end up putting in 4 sticks just because I think it looks so cool. I do architectural lighting design for a living, so the RGB's in a windowed case was almost mandatory. So yes, you could most definitely add a couple more sticks down the road.

It says it works with Asus Aura software. What about MSI's Mystic Light and Gigabytes RGB Fusion??

RGB Fusion does control them. And they mostly stay in sync with the other lights if I set the master routine the same. To do rainbow you have to go into individual items and choose default for the memory. RGB Fusion needs some work, but apparently they all do.

does this ram work with an AMD cpu?

In my experience it does work with Ryzen processors. I’ve used it in several Asrock boards.

Will I be able to set it to red and only red? or is it only changing colors?

Yes you can set it to only red. There is a setting in the program that allows you to set it to any static color you’d like. I had it set to red for a while to match my Corsair keyboard.

i have 16 GB non RGB Gskill RAM, if i were to buy 16 GB of this ram will it work together equaling 32 GB?
