What is the default lighting effect without using Corsair Link?

I’m not sure if it’s cause my motherboard is RGB and possibly has an effect on it but when Corsair Link isn’t working properly on startup, it stays a static red.

Is this compatible with Ryzen AMD4 and AMD Ryzen CPU? ALso does it work with Gigabytes Lighting Software?

It should definitely be compatible with Ryzen. Double check the motherboard to make sure it supports the speed. Unfortunately, you'll have to use corsair link to control the lighting effects.

Will this work correctly with the Asus Rampage V Edition 10?

I have a X99 Gaming Pro Carbon, and it has RGB on the board. In my experience, the board wants to take control of the RAM's RGB and causes it to sometimes stay one color or be unable to be read by Corsair's Software. Just know that any other RGB software will mess with the RAM's RGB lights. Learned that the hard way. But I'm sure it will function properly with your motherboard.

They arent exactly "Low Profile" they are however much lower than some dims. Call it low-mid profile.

Question 6

The corsair led ram modules (non rgb) cycle on and off. Do the lights on this module stay on, or do they cycle on and off?

You can configure the color scheme's via the Corsair Link program. You get the options for a static color which stays that color with no cycling or pulsing. You can also choose Color Pulse, which allows you to choose up to 7 different colors for it to cycle through. In Color Pulse mode the first color will fade in, then it will fade to dark, then the next color in line will fade in etc. Next mode is Color Shift which is the same as Color Pulse in that you get to choose your colors but it won't fade to dark in between each one. Lastly there's a Rainbow setting where it will shift through a rainbow of preset colors one at a time without fading to dark.

How much will the lighting benefit my performance? I expect my performance will double like how cars go faster when painted red.

it says its really 3000 MHz but when u put on the RBG it skyrockets to 3001 MHz its amazing

is this compatible with H170 mobo?

The H170 is a gigabyte model and a MSI model so clarification would be good.  There should be a qualification list on MSI or Gigabyte website for the mobo if you look under support. Even if it's not there (which is should as it's Corsair memory) just make sure the speed is supported.
