It's probably fine, sometimes a pc will not take to a specific brand,  but I don't usually have issues with HPs.  Make sure you have a free slot before ordering.

will this work in an acer AS7750-6423?  It has same specs as the Crucial website.  The original 4GB in the computer is a Kingston Brand so I'd like to keep both RAM sticks to the same manufacturer. Acer website is not very helpful.

After looking up the manual on Toshiba's website, I believe it will. However, I would personally advise against getting a 4GB stick of RAM for the secondary slot. Instead, I would advise you to spend the extra on an 8GB stick of RAM of the same kind, put it into the primary slot, and move the 4GB into the secondary. That way, instead of topping yourself out at 8GB, you will still leave yourself with the option to buy a second 8 GB stick in the future, harnessing the full potential of your system.
