Bad Experience

Pros: Xmp works first time on my Asus Maximus VIII Hero motherboard.

I've had it up to 3733 with auto timings 15 15 15 36.

Cons: I received a mismatched set. I couldn't figure out why the top of the bios said 2400 and on the right it says 2133.
Checked with cpuz and sure enough these are not a matched pair.
I checked each stick individually. The xmp seems to work fine, just the base settings are not the same.
They have completely different serial numbers and build dates.

Other Thoughts: Don't like the website. It is not clear how to rma.
I would be easier for me to accept that my memory died, than to find out I have a mismatched set. Really disappointed.
I don't think these are Buildzoid approved.

Pros: Worked with my MSI X470/2600X combo, oc'd to 3400 without a hiccup, and it's CL14 Samsung B-die. My Superposition benchmark had a substantial increase in performance (from 16k to over 20k in the 1080p Med preset, and 4500 to 5600 in Extreme) from the DDR4 I reused from a different build, as that wasn't stable over 2133, which for Ryzen builds isn't ideal.

Cons: A bit bland looking (although of very good quality) if you're building for maximum flare, which I am most definitely not doing.

Good Ram for the price

Pros: its samsung b-die,
it runs on my RYZEN build i was able to get them overclocked to 3333mhz with same timings 14-14-14-31
and with an overclock to 4.15 on my Ryzen 2600 this thing moves and responds fast.

Cons: its not 32GB
nothing a second kit cant fix

Other Thoughts: looks great paired with my MSI motherboard and case.

Not The Best Overclockers, BUT They Give You What is Advertised

Pros: So I actually am incredibly happy with my Purchase. Considering the Pricing of RAM the last year, this is an insane deal, and I am about to pick up my second 16GB Kit, just this time in Grey, because its on sale again. Last time the Red was on sale for less then $200 for the Kit, now this time its the Grey on sale for even cheaper.

Now I have this in a Crosshair VII Hero, with a 2700x. Your Mileage may very with Ryzen, because it all comes down to your chips Integrated Memory Controller (or IMC for short) as to how well you can push these without getting Errors when running through your Ram Tester. In my case though, with my first KIT, although it is DEFINITELY Samsung B-Die, it seems to be Binned to top out at 3200Mhz. I also have 2 1st Gen Ryzen Chips (A 1600x and a 1700) and One Intel 8700k and one Intel 7700k. In my Intel Boards, I am able to push these to there max, it seems to top out at 3466Mhz, but I have to loosen up the timings in order to do so, I had to go with 16 - 16 - 16 - 16 - 32 with 1.45v in order to get 0 Errors in MemTest at 1000%. Unfortunately if you do the math, it would actually be faster to just run the Kit at its Rated XMP, not to mention more efficient, and my AIDA64 Memory Bandwidth Tests Confirmed this.

For those who don't know, it is actually possible to have a faster kit of Memory at a Lower Clock Speed depending on the Latency, and the way to tell if a Memory Kit at a Rated Speed and Latency is faster than another kit, is by doing a simple Math Test. So with the Above Example, we have the Rated XMP Speed and CAS Latency of this kit, which is 3200Mhz at C14, VS my max stable OC of 3466Mhz at CL16. The way to compare is to find out the Time to Complete a single Cycle in Nano Seconds. The Formula for that is;

(1 ÷ {Half Clock Speed in Ghz}) x CL = {Time to Complete Cycle in Nano Seconds}

So for The Rated XMP that's;

(1 ÷ 1.6Ghz) x 14 = 8.75 Nano Seconds

For My Max Stable OC On the Same Kit (3466Mhz @ CL16) its;

(1 ÷ 1.733Ghz) x 16 = 9.23 Nano Seconds.

So because the time to Complete the Cycle is Slower, then ultimately running the Kit at 3200 CL14 is going to be faster. This is a General Rule of thumb, as there are a lot more sub timings to consider as well, but generally in most cases with the ratio of sub timings in both scenarios being equal, the lower Time To Cycle Completion on your Cas Latency is what will help you figure out which Speed and CL is best to run at. Now had I been able to Validate CL15 at 3466 without getting errors in MemTest, then that would have been slightly faster, but although I could easily boot that in both Intel and AMD, I could not get it to pass 1000% without errors.

So to get back to the point, I bought this Kit to run first on my 1600x, and then later to moved it to my 1700 and then Ultimately where it sits now with my 2700x. I was hoping because it was B-Die that I could push it to CL15 3600Mhz to give me the best Performance with Ryzen, and although it will EASILY boot and complete any Benchmark I have thrown at it at those speeds, you will eventually Blue Screen with Memory Errors, due to it not being 100 Percent stable. I tried Pushing as much as 1.55v into it, and I read that this kit will eventually do it, but some people have said they needed as much as 1.8v to make this speed happen, and I am just not comfortable pushing my 2700x already weak Memory Controller that far.

So the Pro is that it will easily boot the XMP Profile on Ryzen without an issue. In fact I was able to dial in my Subtimings a bit tighter than Auto on the Crosshair 6 and 7 Hero, even getting my Trfc as low as 256, and passing 2000% in MemTest, which actually brought my Cache Latency down quite a bit, I currently have it running just as stable at 3266Mhz with the same timings, just pushing it anything above that has not yielded me stable results. Again, your Mileage will Very.

That being said, at the price you are able to pick a 16GB kit up at in this current Memory Market, after seeing a Kit of 32GB 4000Mhz CL17 Kit of G Skill Samsung B Die is currently $640, I think having a kit that has a only 3% slower Time to Cycle Completion (8.75 Nano Seconds, vs the 8.5 Nano Seconds of the GSkill) and it currently costing only $360 for 32GB, I would have to go ahead and say that Price to Performance Sweet Spot is here on the Team Dark Pro.

So, even though I wish I could bring up my OC on the Ram a TINY bit further, I am ultimately Quite happy with the Performance I have squeezed out of my 2700x (1971 Points in Cinebench R15 being my average score on my Daily OC ) and therefore am adding a Kit Of the Grey Team Dark Pro to Bring me up to 32GB on my rig.

Cons: - Doesn't OC well Past rated XMP - But still a GREAT VALUE at the Price

Other Thoughts: If interested, look for my review on the Grey Kit, will post one in about a week or 2 from today (Aug 2nd, 2018) after I have had some time with it, to make sure it runs stable at the same speed and Latency I am running my current 16GB Kit at. I am hoping I can have the same luck as others and have it validate fine. I will also push that Kit to its Max OC Potential by itself, and see if its possible to push it higher than my current kit, and will also include those results in that review.

Sorry for my long winded comments, I hope it was helpful for someone out there though, I will shut up now.

Great Product!

Pros: Low latency and high clock speeds go hand in hand with my new Ryzen build. Motherboard manufacturer even told me the RAM was incompatible with my board, yet it worked like a charm once I posted.
It may not be RGB, but the price to performance is out of this world when compared to larger name brands and flashier aesthetics.

Cons: none

Awesome B-die for the money.

Pros: This is the lowest current cost B-Die @$209.99 (5/25/18) I have 2 sets both kits are paired with the new Ryzen 2700x and on X470 Taichi boards. So far 3500@14-13-13-31-1t stock voltage on both.

Cons: Absolutely being taken advantage of at this point by the Mem manufactures.

Other Thoughts: none

set up 14-14-14-31 3200 in bios started right up

Pros: set it to 3200 mhz with 14-14-14-31 timings and it booted right up and works just fine. not had a problem.

Cons: null

Other Thoughts: ch6 amd ryzen computer. didnt do anything but go in the bios and set up d.o.c.p or whatever it is i think on amd, to 3200 mhz 14-14-14-31 settings, it already had them in the setup, and bootred right back up with no problem. checked in windows and, 3200mhz.

Not stable at advertised speed/timings

Pros: -Attractive heat spreader design
-Low price compared to other B-die

Cons: -Does not work at advertised speed/timings
-Subtimings in the XMP profile as read by Thaiphoon Burner are EXTREMELY loose.

Other Thoughts: I've spent the last week trying to get this memory to reach it's advertised performance on my new build (2700x and ASUS Crosshair VII Hero) but have been unable to do so. The DOCP (XMP) profile throws errors in HCI Memtest nearly instantly; manually entering all the timings and subtimings read by Thaiphoon Burner (which results in poor performance due to the slow subtimings) still throws errors.

Most recently I have tried 3200mhz 15-15-15-35 at 1.4v though I am still getting errors in Memtest. The only time it has been fully stable so far is when running it at the JEDEC default 2133mhz.

Will probably RMA if I can't find a solution soon.
