I have an intel core i7 2670qm @ 2.20 ghz sandy bridge 32 nm technology. Which pad should i buy? I do not know the dimensions of my cpu. Thanks for the help.

I wouldn't recommend using thermal pads for CPUs they are more meant for VRAM and VRM witch have gaps between them and the heatsink but since you CPU is a laptop CPU you mite be fine. The pads are bigger then you mite think the 145 x 145 is 5.7 inches so you will have to cut the out a size that will fit on top of you CPU. As long as your not overclocking your CPU and depending on you laptops cooling you should be fine just make sure if you laptop CPU heatsink is shared between you CPU and GPU that thare aren't any gaps between either of them. I would probably use the 0.5 mm thick ones since thare the thinest.

I have a Dell Latitude D830 and plan on replacing the thermal paste for the cpu and want to do the chipset as well. The chipset uses a thermal pad. Does anyone know the ideal thickness of the pad for the D830 Chipset?
