Yes and yes although there is a more "advanced" "magic" remote that has an explanatory section in the manual which can be purchased separately. It is not necessary unless you want a lot more functionality (I think it is voice activated but I am not sure)
Great television with very useful features for different viewing, ie. sports, movies, music, etc. etc.

Q1:  Does this TV have built in WiFi for streaming the Netflix etc.
Q2:  Doe TV have a headphone jack?

The TV has built in Wi-Fi & also a headphone jack.  It is very good with the Wi-Fi connected in a bedroom 30 to 40 ft away & with 2 walls separating it from the router.  There is a headphone jack but I have never used it it is on the back of the unit but should be easily accessed.

This set is really very good.  The browser and the interface overally are far superior to other brands I tried, including Samsung.  Get 4K if you want to future-proof, but the price on those sets will come down, and currently the only 4K content is on Blu-Ray.  No cable or satellite channels will come in 4K any time in the near future.

Question 5

The TV specs says that it has NFC. This is the first I've heard of a TV with this functionality. Is this just a buzz word that was included in the specs or can I really "beam" a playlist/contact card/youtube list/etc from my Android device to the TV?

I wouldn't get so caught up in the NFC and beaming.  You can't technically use the NFC with this TV because it doesn't have a NFC reader.

You can easily play music, video, and youtube on the TV from your Android.  Using youtube from your device actually just launches the TV's youtube app and your device becomes a remote.

You can also mirror your screen (at least for Samsung) which works well 70% of the time (sometimes it loses connection and when you are on certainly TV menus you lose Android connectivity).

Netflix has been having problems through so I have to stream it through my xbox.

No it is not.  This is a great looking cheap TV.  It has good features but I will say that unless you are already a person who uses the TV built-in features such as netfix, hulu or something to that effect; you will have a tough time with the wait times and such.
