Question 1

Does this unit have Over-voltage protection, under-voltage protection, short circuit protection, over power protection, OR over temperature protection? -THANKS !

Accepted Answer

All Corsair power supplies have OVP, UVP, SCP, OPP and OTP.

Question 2

Can you provide a step-by-step guide to safely install the CORSAIR CX750F RGB WHT 750W power supply in a standard ATX gaming PC?

Accepted Answer

Installing the CORSAIR CX750F RGB WHT 750W power supply into a standard ATX gaming PC involves first powering down and unplugging your PC, then removing the side panel for easy access. Align the power supply with the case's PSU mounting area, screw it securely in place, and connect only the modular cables needed for your components to reduce clutter. This PSU is fully modular and features a 750W capacity with 80 PLUS Bronze efficiency, ensuring stable power delivery and lower heat output.

For the RGB lighting, you can connect the included 5V ARGB adapter to your motherboard or a separate CORSAIR iCUE controller for customizable lighting effects, which is a nice touch if you care about aesthetics. Just be mindful of the cable routing to keep airflow optimal inside your case—fully modular designs like this make that much easier compared to non-modular PSUs.

Question 3

How does the multi-threaded power delivery stability of the Corsair CX750F RGB WHT 750W compare to the Seasonic Focus GX-750 power supply under heavy gaming loads?

Accepted Answer

The Corsair CX750F RGB White delivers stable power with its 105°C rated Japanese capacitors and 80 PLUS Bronze efficiency, which helps maintain consistent voltage under load during heavy gaming. While it offers solid multi-threaded power delivery for most gaming setups, the Seasonic Focus GX-750 has a tighter voltage regulation and slightly better efficiency, which can translate to marginally more stable power under extreme multi-threaded loads.

If you're pushing a very high-end or overclocked system with multiple power-hungry components, the Seasonic’s premium components and higher certification might provide a bit more headroom. However, for typical gaming PCs using this wattage range, the Corsair unit performs reliably with the added benefit of fully modular cables and customizable RGB lighting.

Question 4

What CPU and GPU combinations work best with the CORSAIR CX750F RGB WHT 750W power supply for a stable and efficient gaming setup?

Accepted Answer

The CORSAIR CX750F RGB 750W power supply is well-suited for gaming setups using mid- to high-end CPUs and GPUs that collectively draw up to around 600-650W under load, such as an Intel Core i5 or i7 paired with an NVIDIA RTX 3060 Ti or AMD RX 6700 XT. Its 80 PLUS Bronze rating ensures efficient power delivery, which helps keep operating temperatures and electricity costs lower.

If you plan to run top-tier GPUs like RTX 4080 or Ryzen 9 with heavy overclocking, you may want to consider a higher wattage PSU to avoid pushing the CX750F near its limits, especially since headroom is key for stable performance and longevity. Also, since this PSU is fully modular and optimized for low noise, it’s great for clean builds with good airflow and quiet operation.

Question 5

Does the PSU come with more than just 2 PCIe / CPU ports for cable hook up?

Accepted Answer

There are a total of 4 PCIe/ CPU ports on the PSU.

Each CPU cable has one single 4 or 8-pin connector on it.

Each PCIe cable has 2 6 or 8-pin connectors for graphics cards. So max would be 4 8-pin connections.

I have the ASUS X570 AMD board and a Zotac 1080 Ti, so I am using
1 x CPU = 8-pin to motherboard
1 x CPU = 4-pin to motherboard
1 x PCIe = 2 8-pin to GPU
Leaving 1 PCIe port + cable completely unused.

Question 6

Does this PSU have an additional 4-pin ATX power connector? My motherboard needs it.

Accepted Answer

This PSU has two 4+4 pin power connectors that can be used for either 8-pin or 4-pin motherboard power headers.

Question 7

Does this unit have Over-voltage protection, under-voltage protection, short circuit protection, over power protection, or over temperature protection?? -thanks

Accepted Answer

All Corsair power supplies have OVP, UVP, SCP, OPP and OTP.

Question 8

Does this unit have any Over-voltage protection, under-voltage protection, short circuit protection, over power protection, or over temperature protection? -thanks

Accepted Answer
