This review is from: MAGELLAN 4.3" GPS Navigation
Pros:
Lots of POI's
Cons:
Unlike some people's posts I've read, I do want the extras that all GPS's offer, except this device of course, it has nothing but GPS and Bluetooth capabilities. In order to find a store, etc, you have to type in the name completely and spell the legally correct name which varies even from the same company. On several occasions, I typed in a store name, and it gave me an address miles away, while the store I was looking for was actually very close by, but it may have a hyphen in the name that is different. Bluetooth works, but very inaudible for both parties. Cannot import addresses (this is lame) have to type them in, then save them to memory card, which is about all the memory card is useful for. I travel a lot to hotels, and this device cannot find some address to hotels that are over one year old. This device is a stand alone device that doesn't sync or connect to any program except the generic Custom POI software, which I haven't found a genuine use for either.
Overall Review:
I only got this device because I got a gift certificate to one of those retail electronic rip off stores, and paid more for it than at Newegg of course. This was the best device they had to offer at their prices, but that's not saying much. If you are looking to buy a GPS, go with a different brand.
