Monitor Resolution vs HDTV Resolution 09/07/2010
This review is from: SAMSUNG MD230 Black 23" 1920 x 1080 Widescreen Full HD LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 DC 150,000:1 (3,000:1)
Pros:
Excellent for Multiple Displays. Designed perfectly.
Cons:
Price is higher than other monitors of this size. Unless you need the smallest bezel, this isn't worth the extra price compaired to others in the same class.
Overall Review:
For those who are not aware of this. A Monitor refresh rate is how many frames that can be individually rendered per second. 60hz is 60 independant frames. 120hz is 120 independant frames. HDTV's do not function in this way, or the same at least. 120hz HDTV's Fill in the extra frames with a created frame, not an actual independant image. It's is an illusion, where-as a monitor shows a true image. A monitor will produce a much crisper display compaired to an HDTV. Hope this helps.
