Excellent Best $$$ For any Cooler 06/02/2012
This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo CPU Cooler, 4 CDC Heatpipes, 120mm PWM Fan, Aluminum Fins for AMD Ryzen/Intel LGA1200/1151
Pros:
Cools AMAZINGLY, Outstanding build quality, Great Looks, Light for its size, easy to mount.
Have this on an i7 2700k w/ arctic silver 5 running at 4.4ghz without breaking a sweat. Ive tried and tried to work this thing out but the very highest CPU temp I've seen yet at my clock speeds has been 43*c. That was while running several different virus/adware programs, encoding mp3's with itunes, playing a movie, and Diablo 3 SIMULTANEOUSLY. Fan never went over 30% load. To make this fact even sweeter, I don't even have a graphics card installed yet!!!!
Board is an ASUS p8z77-v Deluxe. Note that if you plug this into the cpu_fan connector you will get a cpu fan error on BIOS boot due to the fan being so large and slow to spool up that it is not spinning at the MB's minimum pass speed at the time of the check. Simply change the min speed in the bios from 600rpm to 500rpm to solve this. Easy Peasy.
Cons:
None for me.
