Great HTPC CPU 09/16/2012
This review is from: Intel Core i3-3220T - Core i3 3rd Gen Ivy Bridge Dual-Core 2.8 GHz LGA 1155 35W Intel HD Graphics 2500 Desktop Processor - BX80637i33220T
Pros:
Plenty of oomph for a 35W processor. Perfect for an HTPC that you want to occasionally do other things with, like play some older or less hardware hungry games.
Scored an 11.3 on Fritz chess benchmark, which is good for a dual-core processor, let alone a 35w dual-core.
Cons:
I can't comment on the built-in graphics since I'm using a discrete graphics card, but I'm replacing my previous HTPC (A Zotac Zbox ID82) with this BECAUSE of the problems I had with the Intel HD3000 graphics chip. Obviously, I'm not docking any eggs, but if you're considering using the built-in graphics, just make sure you do your research first.
Overall Review:
Powerful, cool, quiet. Not the best price, but I guess that's the trade-off. Very happy with it overall.
