This review is from: Foxconn nt-A3700-0H0WBANA AMD A45 (Hudson D1) Black Mini / Booksize Barebone System
Pros:
Well the size is a definite pro. The number of usb 2.0 and 3.0 ports, built in speaker, WIFI and DVI.
Cons:
The unit comes with an installation CD for drivers and such. However seeing as the unit does not have a CD drive in it, it probably would have been a little more intuitive on Foxconn's part to put a 1GB flash drive with the unit with all the stuff the CD contains. That would have impressed me more so then I was when I first opened the package. So for installation you have to either have a USB cd drive or move the contents of the disc to a flash drive yourself. Not a big deal, but an extra step.
Overall Review:
Updates are mandatory with this unit. It started out very slow on the internet, painfully slow at first. After all the updates were installed, it's been great. I mean it's not as fast as my i7 core, but at half the price of the chip alone, not bad. If you are looking for a unit to surf the web with and other basic things, then this is a great start. Add a little ram for under 20 bucks and a 500 GB or so hard drive and you are done. Of course the OS is also extra, if you go with winblows. (no that is not a typo) The unit is very responsive and has no problem keeping up with me. As a matter of fact I'm writing this review on it now.
