So Nice! 01/29/2013
This review is from: Intel Core i3-2100 - Core i3 2nd Gen Sandy Bridge Dual-Core 3.1 GHz LGA 1155 65W Intel HD Graphics 2000 Desktop Processor - BX80623I32100
Pros:
This was, without a doubt, the easiest CPU upgrade I've ever done. My Win 7 installation literally flew through the process. The chip runs cool which is a plus when you live in the desert. Even under a load it has never exceeded 28F.
Cons:
I haven't found one yet.
Overall Review:
I debated for awhile on whether to save for an i5 or go with i3. My decision was made for me when my old Socket 775 started running at 60F even without a load. Being on a fixed income, this was the perfect solution for me. I never overclock so the fact that the chip is locked was never an issue. I will, eventually, go up to the i5 but, for now, this i3 has solved my heat issues.
