This review is from: TP-LINK TD-W8980 N600 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit ADSL2+ Modem Router, 2.4GHz 300Mbps+5Ghz 300Mbps, 2 USB Ports for File Sharing, IPv6 Compatible
Pros:
If you can get it to work it's OK.
Cons:
Setup is nothing like the last TP link I had. This one is a nightmare and can only be done through IE.
If you can get into the router, getting it to put out a steady signal is almost impossible.
Overall Review:
I bought this DSL router combo because I was so happy with my last TP Link from a few years ago. But no more.
The firmware is garbage and the performance a complete disappointment.
This piece of junk is sitting in my closet - where it will stay until my older Netgear completely fails.
I do not recommend the W8980.
Manufacturer Response:
Dear customer,
We're sorry the modem router couldn't give you expected performance.
The modem router can be configured in IE/Chrome/Safari/Firefox.
Maybe something special affect it. We would like to work with you to figure it out.
