This is an amazing card BUT... 03/29/2007
This review is from: EVGA GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Support Video Card 320-P2-N811-AR
Pros:
By far the most powerful card under $300. Best value on the market for the $200+ range. Will overpower any games you own or will own for the next 2-3 years.
Cons:
Size: Extremely large.
Heat: Runs on the rather hot side.. make sure you have proper air flow in your box.
Overall Review:
Now here's the BUT part.. this card only has 320mb of memory - this means you should absolutely *NOT* run two of these in an SLI setup - it's MORONIC.
Why, you ask? Well, an SLI only uses the memory from the master card, meaning even with two you're still bottlenecked into 320mb of memory - if you want to upgrade and have one of these - your best bet is to sell it and buy the 8800 gt_X_, which has 640mb memory, won't bottleneck, and is less expensive then buying two GTS's.
