Defective laptop

Hello....Bad idea for a seller sending a defective laptop when he/she knows is going on vacation. We could probably come to some kind of agreement and work it out, but making contact with the seller was not possible .... it is really a bad shopping experience for my first time buying on newegg... but, who cares?

The laptop is fine, but the description said it had 1 TB, & it only has 1/2.And the microphone doesn't work...at all... which sucks in this era of Zoom meetings...Everything else seems to work well.

Great Computer at a great price

Order was easy online, and shipped very fast. Delivery did take a bit longer than was predicted but the weather was the reason, can't fault newegg for the weather. Would buy again from them in a heartbeat

I received the computer I ordered in a reasonable amount of time, but, unfortunately, it did not have the memory stated on the advertised price. I promptly returned the product and checked on January 22 to see if it was received. The Newegg site showed the product was received back on January 21. I contacted Newegg to ask when to expect a replacement. I was told that the turn around on returns is usually 7 days. I was told to contact them again if I haven’t heard anything after 7 days. Obviously, mistakes occur sometimes, and I can accept that. The return process was simple. The response from Newegg was immediate. What I am waiting to see is how promptly the mistake will be corrected by the third party vendor. At this point I owe for a computer I don’t have in my possession. So my verdict is not in yet.

They try to scam you

I have asked for a replacement for this computer due to a HARDWARE FAULT. I sent the computer back to the store and just now I got a replacement back. I started being suspicious when I opened the box and it didn't look like getting a new one. I confirmed my suspicion by logging into windows and installing a file recovery software. I FOUND MY DELETED FILES ON THE COMPUTER. They sent me back the same unit, not a replacement. The one I complained had a HARDWARE FAULT.

Computer Broken upon arrival Returned to third party seller Computer arrived with visible dried glue on the screen and was locked up Unable to set up computer for initial startup Called Newegg again, talked on chat, called repeatedly about bad computer and constant shipping days... still trying to get money back from seller Newegg customer agent spoke with third party,“ computer nerd” Seller said they would return my money. When computer nerd sent me email they stated they were 30 days out and would not print shipping label... this phone number to computer nerd 1-732-361-2030 is also number to am - azon third party seller with different name and has many negative ratings on am - azon... Similar problems with computers as I am having.... I don’t blame Newegg for this but they need to screen their third party sellers as they just got a black mark because of this seller... Never again!

Computer nerds sucks - Don’t buy from them!!!

I don’t normally review items, however, my experience with Computer nerds was unsatisfactory and frustrating. I wont go into the delay in shipping issues and will focus on the product issues. When unpacking the laptop and turning it over I noticed that some of the screws on the bottom were loose and one of them was silver (all the rest are black) and a bit larger than the others. I contacted the seller via email and to let them know that one of the unit had mismatched screws. They replied with “we don’t know what you mean” so I sent them a picture of it. A few days went by with no response, so I emailed them again commenting on the loose screws. Also asking them about the silver screw again. They replied with they are really sorry and suggested that I tighten them. Being that is was a week since I started the email conversation and feeling like I wasn’t getting anywhere, I decided to call them. Surprisingly the person that I was emailing with answered the phone. I refreshed his memory of who I was and mentioned that the their response was unsatisfactory. He gave me a few excuses as to why that would have happened including that... it was weird that there was a mismatched screw, because the only way that could have happened is if one of the screws where lost or stripped.... Also he couldn’t see how they could have had loose screws, because they are torque driven. In the end I finally just asked them to send me the right screw and a star tool to tighten them. He informed that I could use a regular screwdriver but that they do not have any star tools or black screws he could send me, that if I wasn’t happy with it, I could just return it. What wonderful customer service. All that time waiting for the laptop to arrive and they couldn’t just send me out what was needed to resolve it. Ill be sending it back!! If I could post photos, I would.

The laptop I received met the product description. The processor speed was a range in the production description, the laptop I received was at the lowest processor speed of the range. The laptop was in a Lenovo box with sturdy foam, which was in another cardboard box that had holes and was open on one end. The Lenovo box was closed and did not have any holes. More tape on the outside box would have been helpful, it was concerning to receive a package that had been opened. The seller shipped the laptop one day later than was expected when the order was placed, but I received the laptop the same day it was estimated to arrive when the order was placed. I would buy from this seller again.
